Lyon should already be bowling to try and tie the Indians down. Yes it might mean the newer ball isn’t being utilised brilliantly for the seamers, but it means the seamers can bowl their spells with more intensity today and only bowl 2 spells max each before tomorrow.

If we snag rohit and pujara tonight, they’ll be in the box seat to win the game.

Pretty incredible that in two teams full of superstars top to bottom, the key performances have come from Head, Rahane and now Boland. You'd have got long odds on that at the start of the cycle, or even at the start of the week!

I would say the Aussies need to conduct a review on when they should take a review however they would probable stuff it up. Two wasted in two overs.

I know @Herbie66 and myself discussed Head a fair while back. I’ve always been impressed by him. Just needed to be given the trust by selectors to have an extended stint.

The real test is seeing if he can do it against England’s bowlers in their conditions now.

I'm posting this here without fully exploring the recent rule change. Really interesting to know the correct interpretation and explanation in this (and all) scenarios.

I thought that was 'handling the ball', and 'obstructing the field' was preventing a fielder from getting to the ball in some way, blocking or something. I guess what he did there could be both?

I think the handling the ball rule has been scrapped. It's now obstructing the field.
