Per the Age, don't expect too many changes.

While the 44-year-old said he would not seek to make sweeping changes to the play style, particularly against St Kilda on Saturday, he had “a couple of ideas that may get built in there” over the coming weeks to put his own stamp on the outfit.

“To be honest, my role at the moment is to step and maintain this club’s competitive for the next seven weeks and back playing the brand of footy that we can,” King said.

COLLINGWOOD will face Fremantle without No.1 ruckman Darcy Cameron on Saturday, but the Magpies will regain Steele Sidebottom, Brayden Maynard and Dan McStay at the MCG.

Cameron failed a fitness test at Gosch's Paddock on Thursday morning after reporting a back issue following the 12-point win over the Western Bulldogs last Friday night.

Darcy won't play," Collingwood coach Craig McRae said on Thursday.

"Unfortunately, after the game he had a bit of a stiff back. He trained early in the week and we were hoping he would progress, but he didn't get much progression on Tuesday.

"We thought we'd go again today and he's not going to be right. He won't play this week. He just couldn't get himself going."

Wonder if Hawkins goes nuts against the Bombers again - especially with Ridley out.

Or can swing Taranto forward and bring in Steele?

Col has asked me to advise you that he hade a eye operation Tuesday and vision is not to good at the moment so he will not be able to do any scores this weekend. ,should be ok next week
