Pep will likely keep his starting 11 consistent up until UCL starts. So whoever starts for them on GW1, is likely in my team.
Stones played a holding MID role towards the end of last season. Maybe Kovacic has come in to do that job, or maybe not.

Lockyer scored goals in the Championship and could be a busy bee racking up misc pts. Ditto Ahmedhodzic.

Bruno went thru hell when CR7 came back. Went to his scoring best when CR7 didn't return after the WC. I prefer him to Salah.

Danjuma playing up front with DCL softer than a marshmallow and Maupay just not able to hit an elephant's behind.
Proven scorer at Villareal, and did well in the Championship with BOU before that. He's at the right age to do well this season.

Kaladjdzic can score. Fitness is the issue. Rhymes with Ahmedhodzic. My mahjong pair. But will ditch for another $4m guaranteed starter.

Good win from the Matildas, if they keep playing like that, they can beat anyone. Canada are quite a strong side (#7 in the world rankings) and they got completely outplayed. It wasn't far off 6-0, with a goal ruled out for off side and a shot hitting the woodwork.

Looks like it'll be Australia v Denmark in the World Cup, again. Hopefully the women can get a similar result to the men from last year!

City have the Charity Shield and play in the 1st game. If Cancelo starts, he's in for Foden.

It then frees up a MID spot and I can take a punt on Szoboszlai for some Pool representation.

After Pool, CHE have a very good run, so might take a punt on Nkunku or Chilwell.

Moussa Diaby also looking like good value and fair fixtures.

Mahjong pair of 'dzics' is gone, but still on the radar.

No room for Mitoma, as his run gets tough in GW4. He'll do well against Luton, but will likely need to be a quick flip in GW4.

Just realised that the team above has exactly enough left to go Udogie to Hickey.
Given the Bees play Spurs, it's the perfect Plan B should Udogie not start.

If they both don't start, there's no Plan C.

Jesus’ injury opens things right up. Odegaard and Martinelli’s ownership should rise. As will the 7-8m forwards, particularly Nkunku. I’ll probably take a punt on Wissa at 6m.

Nkunku went off injured after 22 minutes. Left knee strapped up.

Quite like the Jesus and Nkunku news for FPL. Forces a new template, but also means you can be a bit more punty.

Less of an impact in SD as there are heaps more options. Jesus wasn't really a hyped pick anyway at his price.

All of a sudden, I think Martinelli is a must for FPL.
Even makes Trossard a short term option, though I think Martinelli's price fits him in just nicely.

Nkunku was just a clash. Should still be OK for the start of the season. I'd really like him for DT, though if he missed the Pool game in GW1, it would likely be a good thing. Could cover him by changing formation and he wouldn't have a likely bad score in his cycle.

Though Liverpool have shipped 10 goals in friendlies so far, only 3 have been with the proper back four. The rest have been with kids or the backups. They're really missing a proper holding mid, but Jurgen will sort it out by GW1.

Only player who stands out for me is Welbeck. Will be on limited minutes most likely, Ferguson, Undav & Pedro all competing for the striker position

Thanks. I am looking for a fast start with Brighton’s early draw, so might take a punt on whoever starts. Sounds like Welbeck is doing OK in preseason which swayed me to him. It is the type of punt that will most likely be my undoing!

Undav is now on loan, but Welbeck is still competing with Pedro and Ferguson mentioned above.

Mixed predictions about who will get the start.
Some judges not shocked to see Lallana and Welbeck named against Luton, others predicting combinations involving Pedro and Ferguson.
