I took my daughter to the Matilda's opener at Stadium Australia, then the Netherlands vs. South Africa game at the new football stadium in town. The latter was far superior stadium, albeit much smaller.
Haven't been myself, but the atmosphere from the crowd in the current game seems far less than the last match in Melbourne, despite the bigger crowd.

Edit: That's more like it. Great goal!

Looking for a cheap GK you can go Turner at Forest - all depends on whether they keep pursuing Henderson

My team atm, without Turner. Not sure about Trossard, but I am trying to have a POD along with Maddison.

How certain are we that Areola will start as well? Surely Fabianski will start, yet everyone is selecting Areola?

Bleedin' injuries and uncertainty at starting has left me with something like this.
Not much wiggle room. If the fillers don't come good, might have to sell a big gun to fund other moves.

With Neves and Raul leaving, Sarabia might be on PKs. If he's a starter and playing AM or AMR, worth a punt.
Don't really have a choice actually. $20k short of Tonali.
But at least WOL play last so can look at other options like Anderson or Downes.

Do we know will start between Martinelli and Trossard?

Trossard's in ripper form atm.
I'm backing Martinelli, but could be 60/30 in terms of time seen.
Everyone thought Havertz would be Xhaka's replacement but he might be used in Jesus spot.
Zinchenko could play in the Xhaka spot and Timber / Tierney @ LB.
Don't think even Arteta knows what he's gonna do. No consideration for us FFers.

United want them to buy Henderson after a few games, but Forest want more time to decide if they'll seal a deal.

If Turner can get the paper work done before Friday, he's in. Many want 3 ARS players so getting Turner early means you have to do a transfer later. May as well get the 3 ARS and get Turner later, as pts are more important than a backup starting GK.

Areola starting is just speculation as he kept goals when they won the 'Participation in Europe' certificate.

NF will have him ready to play before the weekend. They have no one else! I agree re pts, than a back-up GK, but that is why I asked re Areola?

As for Henderson, deal will get done. His previous injury won't see him playing until at least October. Has no match fitness.

Think I might look at the 4.5 level GK's as a result.

Landed on this in FPL. I think my starting team is strong but my bench has holes. Im comfortable with the 3-5-2 formation. Any advice would be appreciated though.

Im also happy with my RDT. Not convinced by my defenders but it allows me to stack my midfield.

TottenAnge lost 4-2 to Barca in a friendly but most pundits are raving about the Spurs performance. They fielded a B team leaving Kane, Maddison and Kula at home. They went 1 down then dominated the game, scored twice (Skipp x 2), to lead until the 80th minute when Barca made a number of changes and then went away with it. Spurs only made a couple of subs and Ange left the players do the talking. We live in hope but need to produce the goods in the EPL before I even start getting slightly excited.

The Turner deal might hinge on Raya signing for ARS, otherwise they'll be left skint.
If the deal goes ahead, then we get certainty on Flekken and Turner, and there's my two GKs nailed.

Can't see anything wrong with those teams.

For me, I've just lost a lot of love for BRI, as their fixtures turn quickly, and they're signing up quite a few, so will be rotating a lot too.

In FPL, some would say a 5.5 bench player is too much. There shouldn't be too much rotation (if you pick correctly), so just get a sure starting 4.5 and be happy with a cameo 1-3 pts if you get some bad luck.
If you save 1.0 units, you could probably upgrade a 4.0 to a 4.5, like Botman, Pau or Udogie. They too can be bench cover but will really be handy from GW3 when their fixtures turn. I like Spurs fixtures from 3-13, and with Ange, Udogie is my man.
Don't like United, but with many having Onana or Shaw, I need a hedge, so the other 0.5 would be handy to upgrade to one of them.

With DT, I think Chilwell or Stones are better than Estupinan given their teams longer term fixtures. Cheaper as well.

One thing about FPL is that there is no rolling lockout. That makes playing five mids with no bench a risk. With so many games being played in addition to EPL (FA Cup, League Cup, Euro football plus postponed games) it makes it easy for a player to get a knock. Then you to miss that issue unless you monitor 24/7 and I for one am not doing that. Plus teams are not released until 1 hour before gametime which is early AM for a lot of games. Just makes it too hard to manage and takes the fun out of it. So having a mid bench player is a better set up for me hence I think I am going to switch back from my original 3 5 2 to a 4 4 2 set up.
