Yeah okay. Thinking Booker in for Haliburton then. Unsure on any of the options for Edwards though, Markkannen maybe? Also thinking Kuminga in for Miller as I'm pretty unsold on Miller and he only has 2 games R1..
On the right path IMO ...

Also, I’m currently here for a team:

$6M in cash left seems a lot. Am I missing anything?
No interest earned on the $6 million sitting in the bank, so best to put it to good use to upgrade Kuminga unless you are extremely confident that he will outscore everyone below that 12.5 to 13 million odd range in RD1. Hard to fault the rest of the selections.

Cheers. Thinking J. Williams as I’ve read good things.

Landed on this. Im going for players i rate as underpriced. I could probably afford a few extra true guns if i changed structure but im happy with this, mostly.

Am i correct in saying that players who play 3 games in round 1 will have a price change whereas those that play less than 3 wont? If so that adds even more incentive to get the best players who start with 3 games in round 1. That said, there is still reason to pick players with less than 3 games for sure!

I like the balance of my team but i will need several players to perform well above their price point to be competitive. I figure ill have a look at all my players and work out who is going to step up and who i can cut and ill probably use a boost or 2 straight out of the gates if - as im expecting - some of these mid-pricers dont come on.

I like the challenge of giving it a go though instead of picking household names and rookies. With so many trades i can always adjust but i may start slow if the strategy doesnt pay dividends.

Just over 1 Mil in the bank

Correct that price changes occur once a player plays his third game. I do like Markkanen, Murray or Maxey as short term players especially the latter two if you are chasing “value”. If Poole and Hachimura are starting on the bench, then their selection is redundant in your side. They need to score at a much higher rate than their cheaper counterparts and if doing so, it would seem they would be wasted on the bench as you would prefer their points on field. Poole’s fixtures are not appealing in terms of 4 early on, so he can be left solely to draft formats (if you play any). Dropping them down to say Lively and Rose could allow the likes of Durant/LBJ/SGA/Curry/Siakam/Bane/LaVine to replace Edwards and Bridges. You could also use Maxey as a one week rental to M Bridges thanks to dual position players, rather than starting both.

Probably just over $1M for rookies, less for more senior players. The price change will vary based on the player's current price and the scores they get.

You should have access during preseason and the first two rounds to last year's stats for any player by clicking on their name if you want more idea.
Adding to this .... very hard for a rookie to reach $10 mil so they can be expendable unless averaging around the "20" points mark and can be worthwhile keeping on field whilst upgrading other lines ...

Looking at my notes for the CHI pair ...

- LaVine predominantly a shooter so good and bad games ... averaged hasn't really changed for years ..
- DDR now 36 years old ... goes on some hot streaks but his big scores tend to correlate with how many Free Throws he gets ...

- pretty sure oppo teams know all of this by now ...

So I've landed on this:

Maxey Scoot K. George
SGA Cunningham Thompson
Jokic Lively
Durant James Thompson
Wemby Chet Z. Williams

I had totally misunderstood price changes to be from week 3, as per the game rules, rather than after 3 games, huge difference to planning as a result.

3 of Maxey/SGA/Durant/James out for Doncic/Edwards/Bridges week 2 is the plan right now, with a potential 4th if there's a must have and obviously flexible should anyone fail miserably.

Zaire meant to be starting with the changes resulting from Adams season ending injury and 3 games week one just makes sense to me, not going to do anything special but should be able to boost across the board with extra minutes.

Maxey with Harden out should get plenty of chances.

I like Bron and Durant to score the most points of the SF options, albeit I don't really love either of them and probably says more about the other options.

Rest are either superstars or already well covered.

Any glaring issues with the above?

Thanks for replying. I'll definitely give you Hachimura but I dont mind Poole on the bench given i want him in my team but think Henderson and Maxey have 3 games straight up so id like to 'save' a trade by keeping Poole but backing him in for round 2 onwards. I might drop Bridges for Bane given the schedule. I'll probably drop Hachimura too.

With three trades a round and five boosts to be used, I wouldn’t bother selecting players in the hope of “saving a trade” at such an early stage. Preference would be for one round rental types which could allow you to assess an option such as Poole or quickly pivot to another option thus increasing your flexibility, if you have a solid core of top premiums. How long do you persist with Poole if say he has a poor shooting night or two for the round or doesn’t post sufficient assist numbers and goes say sub 45 on a three game week or sub 65 on a four game week?

Best not to view these picks in isolation and consider the flow on effect from a price and points perspective. If benched, at least five million not utilised onfield could make a significant difference over a or several rounds. Do you stick with the sunk cost in the hope he meets your expectations and can claw back some of that total or do you jump off as soon as possible trying to grab those missed points? Does this restrict future trade options and force undesirable alternatives, all just for one player?
