Can I query "Heeney - training as a full time mid, will provide all day run complimenting inside mids"

Is "complimenting" your interpretation or what was actually said? Don't want to get technical but to me "complementing" means providing something that is missing or assisting the existing set up. Basically that implies that Heeney won't be a full time mid just goes in there when he is needed to top up or help out the full time mids. Heeney has had a high ceiling in the right role but just turns out too many horror scores to make him viable when he isn't in that role. Mind you the bar is set pretty low this year in the fwd line.

Interpretation Manikato. There was a comment made that I was trying to recall, it wasn't contested/inside game, more along the lines of running all day, could have meant outside role, it was made very clear and said "training full time with the mids".

When they discussed all the forwards being fit, it was Joel, Logan, Papley and other names, not Heeney! James Jordan was mids and forwards.

The risk is does Callum Mills back somewhat affect him which sees him go to a mid fwd role. We get to see him OR, however, the temptation will be to move him forward, if other forward are not kicking goals.

Joel for all his height is not a big heavy forward and Logan also young.

Expect Heeney may spend a lot time mids early and then go 70/30. last year he had one game at 76% CBA's for a 75 and 33% and 29% for 97 and 71.

Personally I would be cautious given his price point. Melb do give up some points to opposing mids so will be fascinating to watch. Heeney is awesome and I brought him in round 3 in 2022 I think, panic traded him when his scoring dipped.

That reads like he is a monty to ave 98+. From memory we all cried when he was removed from the HB role 2yrs ago. At 551k how does price work out with the magic number?

3 out of the bottom 5 surprises me, Sheezel, Serong, Laird and no mention of Rozee

With the unprecedented number of trades this year at 40, how are you planning on using them to give you the best chance this year?
When it was adjusted to 36 last time I thought there'd be so many extra trades to sideways and experiment/chop n change with there'd be plenty for any scenario. Then the season started with Stewart, Fyfe etc etc etc until I ended up using 5 boosts in a row for the first 6 rounds, and was out of trades with 6 rounds to go.
Just saying, this year my strategy is to try to pick a team that won't need a bunch of fixing early on and actually try to conserve a good amount of trades for the second half of the season. To be in a position of power for the run home.
I mostly play for league results and not overall but generally when you go well in one, you go well in the other. It's definitely more fun not running out of trades too early.
What's your plan this year on how you'll use your 40 trades?

No real plans beyond the first byes.
R2-4 rookie fixes with a few delayed on byes.
R5-6 the flexible rounds with the possibility of bye premo trade. I'll strongly consider cutting $120k profit rookies from SYD,COLL, MELB and RICH. Having an extra premium for two rounds outweighing the need to hold the rookie for the two extra rounds.

Clay Hall is a star, but will he get into the best 22 or is this year a development year with the subs vest.? WCE actually have a few options for the bench this year. I see lots of good young athletes on the list.

Also not much noise on Hough, i am very interested as to who gets the Hurn Role.? Who is your preference for this role in the WCE Team.? I did see he started with last years prefered DEF line in the last Sim match, which raised my eybrows.
