Yeah I would just assume that he's not going to play even though he's been named. According to Danny Weidler on Twitter, sat out of training, walked a few laps of the field and did a gym session. Just have a replacement player in mind in case he gets pulled out in 24 hour/game day cuts.

I imagine he'll be trying to train fully towards the end of the week... But yeah they won't risk him.

Coaches trading in Sam Walker should be aware of his very low floor, hugely reliant on attacking stats and could score 40s & 50s for 2-3 weeks before going 100+. If you're getting him in, you have to be patient & prepared to hold for the long run to get the best value out of him and his great draw till round 18 does help with that. With trades at a all time low, don't think we can afford to play halfback roulette if Walker goes low for a few weeks.

Considering Walker but would prefer Manu for Roosters exposure and do not want to be overexposed with May, Crichton, Young, Walker and Manu, if I grabbed both in the coming rounds. The floor you have raised above also is a deterrence. Not game to risk holding both SJ and Hynes this round so considering Burton instead of Walker to replace SJ. Can then move to 5/8 when trading Galvin and could allow J Hughes in the coming rounds.

Out: SJ and Trbojevic
In: Burton and Drinkwater

Strange survives another round. If Hynes is named, then he replaces Lane in the 17. Iro has a rest with Talagi in the 17.

Yepp agree with Manu over Walker, keep in mind that Roosters have the Bye in round 14 so you'll be down 4 players minimum that week, not counting any Dolphins/Raiders players you might have or origin players not backing up. Burton is a good option, great 5 round average but he's also at a risk of being picked for Origin. Could play centre, 5/8, utility bench with Wighton retired or even 18th man for the Blues.

Thank you.
Usually find Origin the toughest period given I do not follow the NRL much and thus unsure who is in the frame for selection, etc. Alternative is to keep SJ through his injury, take the AE if Hynes misses this round (lowest score of Brailey, Hughes, Willison, Galvin, Iro and B Trbojevic).Tough decision to weigh up given Burton needs to be a season keeper with trades left but a positive is the dual position status and potential switch if Brown receives HFB status,

I'm in a similar situation as you with Hynes and Cleary. Heard someone mention in a podcast that you can VC a early game & loop your halfback if both are unavailable and hold off the trade till next week. Think Walshy is a good option for you, seems like he'll thrive at magic round and could be anything, will be going VC Fifita myself.

Back to the drawing board 😭

Don’t really want to bring in a CTW this week as I have Lomax, Garrick, Young, Holmes, Iro already with Salmon and Gagai. Sort of locks me out of Manu unless I bring Iro down to FB.

Gagai set to make bulk cash and want to turn one of my middling 2RF into Manu via Salmon over the next 2 weeks.

Settled on Cleary > Sam Walker and Fuller > David Armstrong.

Armstrong has Rd 13 / rd 14 coverage and a good matchup this weekend. Allows me to bank 400k and leaves a path to Manu next week without burning final boost by trading out someone like Chan. Armstrong also a slight hedge against Marzhew who I’m probably going to have to let go if I want Manu.

Also will give me all of The right side Roosters attack when their draw opens completely up against the raiders next week.

If he doesn't play I'm taking an AE

Dylan Brown - HFB added to 5/8. Just missed out for the last updates in round 6 but now wins dual status after playing six games at halfback in place of the injured Mitchell Moses, which well-and-truly meets the criteria of three starting games to earn a dual position.
Siosifa Talakai - 2RF added to CTW. After playing centre for the last few years, the emergence of Kayal Iro has seen Talakai switch back to the forwards. Talakai has started one game in the second row and played another five as a forward from the bench.
Connor Tracey – FLB added to CTW. Started the season on the wing before playing three games at fullback, which earns him dual status. Note: In round 6, Tracey was named on the wing with Stephen Crichton at fullback, but Tracey played fullback that match and it has been included in his three games.
Tom Chester - CTW added to FLB. While currently injured, Chester has played all his four four games at centre and therefore earns the position for SuperCoach.
Kieran Foran - HFB added to 5/8. After starting the year at five-eighth, the veteran has played five games in a row at halfback.
Tanah Boyd - 5/8 added to HFB. Almost the exact opposite to Foran. Boyd has switched to five-eighth for three games after starting the year at halfback. Now out with a dislocated wrist.
Jye Gray - FLB added to 5/8. Started three games at fullback for the Rabbitohs and therefore earns that position, although Gray is currently out with an ankle injury.
Naufahu Whyte - FRF added to 2RF. Playing as a prop for the Roosters from the bench mostly, but has also started one game there.

It's one of those weeks where you gotta play all 7 CTWs haha. Trades this week are either:
Iro > Marzhew ( 1 trade )
Iro > D Young + Cleary > S Walker ( 2 trades )
Not sure yet, depends on whether Hynes is playing and what my VC ends up scoring. Good luck everyone.
