What’s everyone’s thoughts on how the Brownlow medal will go? Cripps and Daicos seem strong favourites but I feel like it could be more open than that..

Good thinking but doubt that explains it either.

I think it is right in my case as I was born in 1971 and believe I follow North because they were successful during my impressionable years when I first started watching footy. Both my parents followed Collingwood. One guy was 5 years older so that could explain him however the other two guys were quite a bit younger (guessing mid 30 to early 40s) and would have been born after that successful era.
Just to continue the theme, maybe those younger guys jumped on in the late 90's? North were pretty good then!
Pagan's paddock was a very good time for North in the 90's.

Now I know we have some of the strictest rules around this site for swearing etc., rightfully so!
So don't be this guy when you're chatting about your fantasy football, or Basketball, or whatever!
It's just not worth it! lol

Puts a different spin on the term "long bomb". Or maybe even rifling one down the middle. But I think he has taken his commitment to his fantasy team just a tiny bit too far.

No surprises it was a Philadelphian.

So I looked up Philadelphian and now I understand totally how he could have got to that point with his fantasy football team:sneaky:

I quote-

Philadelphians or "the Philadelphian Society," is the name of a sect which was founded in 1695, and claimed.to have for its object "the advancement of piety and divine philosophy." It originated with Jane Leade (q.v.) and John Pordage (q.v.).

Mrs. Leade herself, however, combined much fanaticism with her pietism, professing (like Swedenborg in a later generation) to hold intercourse with spirits. This fanaticism imparted itself to many members of the Philadelphian Society, and imaginary apparitions of good and evil angels became for a time a prominent feature of their religious life.

Pretty sure it will come down to those two, possibly Neale as well, but he has more competition for votes. Cripps I feel had the better year of the two, but who knows how the umps will see it.

I think its all in the name, Fantasy, so completely removed from reality!
I wonder if he really was a Saints supporter....
New Orleans Saints, another place steeped in fantasy related issues. 🤣🤣

“More research today and Geelong assistant coach Steven King is headed to West Coast as coach and Matthew Scarlett will join him as an assistant. “
AFL.com reporting differently now, this is probably more accurate

“WEST Coast's coaching decision is imminent and could be announced as soon as Monday after narrowing in on final candidates Hayden Skipworth and Andrew McQualter over Grand Final weekend.
Geelong midfield coach Steven King has also been in the running in the last group of coach options, however AFL.com.au understands McQualter and Skipworth are in the final two. “
