Three games against WCE next year? :p

Might give us a chance to snag a few more wins.

Ch 7 news advising North have sold games to WCE. They fly to WA and play WC and Dockers on consecutive weeks staying here for the entire fortnight. One of the games will be played in Bunbury two hours south of Perth. Deal for next 3 years.

And only 45 minutes away from Busselton for a nice long walk along the jetty to think about what they have done.

Heck of a lot warmer than Brooke Street Pier in the middle of winter.

Four games in Cairns, instead of Hobart, would suit me plenty.

The AFL could play them at 4:40pm, the optional time slot for FNQ.

Noice! I'm in Peppy Grove beach so I might have to get along to that Bunbury game to support the mighty Weagles. :)

NM can fly Jetfail Melbourne direct to Busselton to take in that walk. They will have to pay for the privilege of walking the jetty though. But there is a brewery directly opposite the jetty where they can drown their sorrows.

And just to clarify the games will be sold to the WA government not WC and will be considered home games for NM. WA government sees the Bunbury game as an opportunity to boost tourism in the South West and wine regions. Might be tough getting a ticket to that game as I do not think the ground at Bunbury would hold many. Maybe 10k? but that is a guess.

Anyone got any thoughts about the next wave of premiums coming through?
Who is likely to jump up?

I like Will Day, Callaghan, McKercher/Wardlaw, Ashcroft etc
Any others you like?
Jai Newcombe I think has the ability to reach that top echelon of premium mids within the game.

Has shown he has the scoring potential but seems to be a slow started so might be an upgrade target.

Finished off last season very strongly and there is a sense of deja vu about it all as many jumped on in 2024 after a strong finish to 2023.

Seems to be a bit of a pattern to his slow starts and strong finishes. The table below represents this;
