I read somewhere that Lowden is on a modified program due to a leg issue he had a Christmas time.

I'd rate Lowden more than Riley, his has talent and his very athletic.

@FantasyFreako: Nathan Krakouer is the front-runner to be upgraded after Billy Frampton was placed on the long-term injury list. #SuperCoach #AFLFantasy

Still don't see where he fits in the Port senior team. Jonas, Impey and Pittard would all probably be ahead of him as starters. But I guess with Hartlett's injury he may get a go early in the season.

Same problem as lots of rookies I suppose (eg Anderson, Heeney). I think its just good for the available pool of viable options to be as big as possible and then hopefully a few of them get a good run.

At the very least I think he is ahead of Impey. He is more damaging with the ball. I have been skeptical as well but after the weekend I am reminded how good a player he potentially can be.

Brown and freeman at this stage but open to suggestions
I think you will find than Freeman is a Mid only.
In any case, Def rookies are a problem for everyone this year, that is why you will fing that most coaches are going heavy in their back line. Some of the rookies being considered are H.Goddard, Hamling, Saad, Maynard. None are guaranteed to play Rnd 1, but keep your eye on them through the NAB to see if they are likely to get a call up.
Also, check out the Rookie thread as you may find some other players listed there.

Thing is it's very rare for a clubs best 22 to all be fit the same week, even if they are players are managed etc, so you see non best 22's get their chance. lol

"Ex-Sydney forward Tim Membrey seems certain to take on GWS on April 5, while the hamstring epidemic at the club means Ahmed Saad could also be elevated."

Plus Newnes and possibly Fisher or Geary...thats a lot of Saints...How many player in 1 team is too many?

It depends who you select I guess. You wouldnt want too many premiums from one side. Though it depends on the player. Say Beams was still at the pies, I wouldnt be off starting with all of Pendles, Swan and Beams. And for arguments sake say sidebottom was coming of an injury and underpriced, I would still consider him.

Also I wouldnt count rookies in this calculation. You will be trading them anyways. With those saints I wouldnt pick 3 though lol. Newnes is the lock. And I would only pick one of Fisher or Geary if you think they have the (adam) goodes.

Has Krakouer been training with the defenders? I thought he would play a small forward role.

Anyone thinking Vandenberg is an underpriced Viv Michie? Melbourne mid structure is a bit of a lotto atm.
