Now I thought this was strange, it's certainly not what you'd expect your new high price recruit to be doing!

In this day and age players can't be restricted to one position. Tom Boyd is 201cm and with Minson aging, we don't have a ruckman that can step up and replace him when he retires. We have Tom Campbell the most likely custodian but he is not AFL ready. With Boyd learn the trade of a ruckman this early, when Minson retires we are able to have Campbell rucking for most of the game with Boyd rucking inside 50m. Plus with the interchange cap, Campbell could rest deep inside forward and Boyd go up the ground as ruck for like 5-10 mins.

Exactly, cant be one dimensional these days and knowing how to ruck isn;t a bad thing. He is not ready to be what we expect so it's worthwhile getting him into games too, there will be many times where we are struggling and he barely sees the ball.

Try clicking on the SC Gold menu item. if you don't already have SC Gold, then I think it will prompt you to purchase it. (I do remember it was quite fiddly to sign up when I did it).

With no word on Byrne I now assume he will not play. Giles long term injured could mean the elevate hi mto play off rookie list but a day before game heard nothing.
I suspect Tuohy, Sheahan, Dochety and Simpson have squeezed him out. Also Everitt will probably play back and Simon White at times. He did however do well in NAB Cup game I saw so looks like he got a look in whilst Sheahan was injured. Oh yeah, if Dylan Buckley and Yarran used as attacking players from back half there does not look a lot of room when everyone fit. Not sure on status of Buckley and Sheahan.

So the subscribing to Herald Sun+ where you get SC Gold, live scores etc gets you a free 7" Samsung tablet. You have to take a year's subscription at $249 and the tablet is pretty basic (you can get it for $135 at **** Smith). But it might be enough to get you over the line. I'm still doing the maths.

Way off there. Clem Smith in and Boekhurst not. Looks like we also playing 3 talls in the backline.
With Vickery not playing maybe Jaksch plays forward.... ?
