Round 1: Teams and In Game Discussion

i'm 1270 with 9 players left.

Fyfe, Gray, Bartel, Clark, Selwood, Newnes, Shaw, CEY, Goldy.

With 7 prems there i'm hoping for 2150+

1582 (16) Captain played. Major bonus was sticking Bontempelli. Late change of Ablett and Oxley in for Selwood and Scott Thompson may have hurt me.

1187/14 - would have got points if I had played Heeney over Miller.

Have 7 prems and a rookie, as well as my C (think I will give Pendles a miss as VC) - fingers crossed I can get to 2000!

Should have trusted my initial decision on Hibberd - (was going to take a few games to get back into it, and thus be cheaper to bring in down the road) = Negative.

Balanced out (at this point) by taking TBC over NNat. (Lucky) New ruck scoring seems to be making it an even more ****genised game. = Positive.

Allowed me to spread money around more though, which I think will pay off in the end. Awaiting Gray and Fyfe. Think vs Goddard and Griffen, it will end out a good decision.

Main message (internal monologue): Hey, it's only round one, and it hasn't even finished yet, so shut up!

General caveat (bravado and pretending to know what I'm talking about - which should come first I suppose): I've had a few beers, so shut up... etc!

I'm gna look at the bright side so far, Mcintosh,Saad,Vandenberg,Heeney locked into there respective 22's for the short term.

Not necessarily. A good SC score isn't JS. Remember Laidler was the highest scoring Swan in Rnd 1 last year, and was dropped for Rnd 2!

Relatively happy as I managed to pick all the correct rookies except Cripps and Salem. Biggest disappointments so far have been a few of my premiums, in particular Dmart and Hibberd, but I'm confident they'll bounce back next week.
Have got Fyfe (C), Selwood, Griffen, Goldstein, Gray, Newnes and Clarke still to play, so hopefully will score 2100+, but who knows what carnage may strike tomorrow!
