Kade Kolodjashnij kept Lumumba to only 5 disposals from 68 minutes on him. Not a role we want him playing in #AFLFantasy and #Supercoach

Double fantasy killer for me, I have both of them!

I watched the replay of the game and both players weren't near the ball for most of the game. I didn't realise Kolodjasjnij was on him but from a Gold Coast perspective that is a weird matchup. Gold Coast showed very little scoring potential and I don't see how effectively eliminating a fwd likely to score just to stop Lumumba was going to help. Not like he was ever dominating and needed to be stopped.

Lumumba isn't going to only average 13 disposals a game this season (should be close to 20) so don't panic yet but he won't go at 100% efficiency either.

Also how are people feeling with a 3-0-5 forward line? I have a 3-1-4 forward line (mid pricer is swan)

Started with a 3-0-5 forward line JW, giving me the extra premium starting in the backline. I feel as though I am safer playing with extra forward rookies than backline rookies, most of whom - and there isn't many of them - have shaky js. It did mean that I have missed out on Swan and Bonts for now, and means that I have to play one of Lonie or Lamb on the field. I also get the chance to look at Swan or Bonts and see how they go next week, making sure Round 1 wasn't a one hit wonder type game. I'm not making any trades this week, don't think I have enough issues to warrant them, and that gives me a week more to see how the structure goes.

I am not overly unhappy with my forward line.
Gone Gray, Zorko and Bartel as premiums and also Josh Kelly as mid pricer.
There is nothing I can do about Bartel being hurt. Just pure bad luck and if he has to miss a game so be it.
I did have Dane Swan at one stage on Thursday but later changed to Bartel.
Just have more trust in the trio I gone with as premiums. So many options to go with up forward that going to be a lot of different ones. I think the rookies almost selected themselves so most of us got the same there. Kelly will be important for me as did not score well round one but I punted on him being a really good value pick. He may fall short of keeper status but will wait and see.

Mine is a bit complicated, I actually have a 2-1-4 line.

Martin, Franklin, Swan, Salem, Clark, Hogan, (McGrath, Goddard)

But, I have Higgins in DEF as a link to Goddard (Higgins played FWD this week, used Godard to get McIntosh's score), and Bennell and Gray in the MIDs for the time being (just due to on field rookies, will eventually go forward, but currently no link). While it didn't perform as well as I hoped this week, I'm still petty happy with my set up :)

I know it's only round one, which has yet to be completed, but I can already see the discussions on How far is too far to be the 2013 SuperCoach Winner?

For me, SuperCoach 2013 added a few new flavours, ie changes and thus I believe the 2013 SuperCoach Winner can come from very far away from the overall leader at any given round, especially before the Bye.

The new SuperCoach rules, about with 10 midfielders, 8 defenders and 8 forwards adds a new dimension and there will be more PODs. The Rolling Lock-out and the Multi-Bye Rounds with the Top 18 Rule also brings some other elements to the equation..

It's hard to predict on how far is too far, but you may want to have a look at the tables below and compare my year with ChewyLizard's year and then add the new SuperCoach rules in 2013 to work this out.

Bumping Jays article,
For anyone who thinks they can't peg back the lead after 1 bad round chewy was ranked 64,000 after round 2 and won it so not to worry!

Quick one, my mate's trying to propose a sidebet with me and wants a 1800 point headstart (75pts per week), any idea what that would work out to be in overall ranking terms? Lets assume i finish 2k for the sake of the exercise
Sorry mate I have no idea. 75 points a week is a big head start.
Negotiate. 1800 points is massive, try to haggle it down to 1000-1200 or something. Even then, if you get am ill timed injury or something you could be up s**t creek for a couple of weeks (Mumford last season comes to mind, where people kept him for weeks while he didn't play).
Alternatively you could go on a weekly basis of a 75 point head start. At the end of the 23 weeks, tally up who has the most weekly wins to determine the winner. I would back you in over the long term to get more weekly wins at -75, but not sure if that would eventuate to an overall 1800 point lead.
Tell him to harden up and take you on head to head. ;)
We haven't got the split round this year to start proceedings either... a lot of cookie cutter teams will make it a log jam at the top end!!!
I can tell you, that the players that finished 1800 points behind you last season finished about 9,500th.
It's a bad bet, don't take it.
With that much of a head start do u stand to win more? Otherwise I dont see the incentive
Alright the bet's on at him with 1000 headstart, effectively 1100 cos he outscored me by 100 in round 1 lol. Took a few confidence pills for him to be willing to negotiate.

His team below, very decent but im confident ill out-trade him but it'll be close.

His team isn't too bad atm, but I think he might find it hard to do upgrades with not a great deal of cash generation.

quick question. how do you view others teams?
If they are in one of your leagues, just go into your leagues section and click on them.

If not, you can do a search for a particular team name, or just go to the rankings section.
