Messaging my mate who's 8th overall about the injuries this week and i tell him 'lids is out this week', to which he replies 'who the f**k is lids'

LOL, those who are on fanfooty during games would find this humorous

Anyone else find the colour choice for this new function awfully similar to the greenlight we see when they get named. Gonna be green dots everywhere after tonight which i expect will make it hard to see who's been named/not named.

No doubt Maurice Rioli could box a bit better than them. He was some player. I cannot remember but is Cyril Rioli his nephew ?
If I remember correctly Maurice Rioli might have got the Norm Smith medal in 1982 Grand Final when we beat Richmond. Not often the Norm Smith medal goes to losing team member but happens every now and again.

We had a VFL player come out to train us one night in under 10's or something. It might have been the night Robbie Muir helped us out (you know... good for the kids). Anyway he mentioned about Rioli doing a fair bit of damage with his fend o*** in the 82 grand final, basically accusing him of going around and palm striking anyone who tried to tackle him. The advice was something along the lines of "You can't get away with punching guys and technically, you can't really palm strike them now either, but you should because it will hurt them more and at your level, the umpire's not going to pick it up"

Frankston.... :D

What does Tom Mitchell need to do to get a game? His numbers from reserves on the weekend:
21 kicks, 19 handballs, 3 marks, 9 tackles, 1 goal, 4 behinds, 3 inside 50's, 5 rebound 50's
I know he might not be the best defensive player but SURELY he has to get a game????

With the little notes now attached to players, I think SC should re-read and check info before posting it...

Oxley was subbed off in the third quarter which took most of us by surprise. His score of 74 wasn't his lowest, but it was well below the last two weeks. He will still make money with a BE of 12, just keep an eye on his scores over the next two weeks.

Any Saints supporters here that can give an insight on the chances of McKenzie being picked this week. He was Sandi's BOG last week with 28 poss, 7 marks, 6 tackles and a goal. He was also in their best in round 1. He might be the defensive downgrade I've been looking for especially with DPP.

If it is any consolation I have been thinking of bringing him in this week purely as I see him playing some footy over the next 4-6 weeks.

I'm thinking along the same lines. Lets me cash out Goodes and gives me at worst a DPP defender who is cheap. I don't like any current defensive options for downgrades.
