Any other player would get 2 weeks minimum for what buddy did.... but not any other player gets bums on seats like buddy.
Big ouch for martin owners. I can see it now Titch gets dropped, pendles a late out..gonna be a great round lads:p
Sidebottom got 4 down to 3 for good behaviour last year for a softer hit than that

Some info on Morris (broken jaw), McLean (AC issue) and Rough (back). Also looks like Caleb Daniel impressed so if the 3 are gonna miss weeks like expected he might be a decent downgrade target in a couple of weeks.

Beveridge said McLean's AC issue was "a bad one", but it was too early to tell if Roughead's back complaint would sideline him for next week's clash against Gold Coast in Cairns.

Also looks like good news for Cripps owners.

CARLTON is confident Patrick Cripps has escaped serious injury and expects the emerging star to face arch-rivals Richmond after he limped from the field in Saturday night's loss to the Western Bulldogs.

Cripps was forced out of the hard-fought 11-point defeat – Carlton's 10th for the season - with a rolled ankle during the final term.

The 20-year-old – who is favourite to win this year's NAB AFL Rising Star award – will have precautionary scans on Sunday but should be available to face the Tigers, while forward Andrejs Everitt will also have his sore knee scanned.

Everitt was subbed out of the match in the third quarter, having booted a goal and taken a mark of the round contender to help inspire the Blues to a three-point half-time lead.

The Blues also lost Sam Rowe pre-game due to a stiff back from training, but the key defender could return alongside Andrew Carrazzo (ankle) and Troy Menzel (knee) in round 15.

McLean's injury is particularly annoying. Played very well and had at least another 100k to generate. Probably still better than having Lambert though.

Yes, this looks pretty unlucky for McLean owners, especially with another good score yesterday to cycle through.

I have been struggling to find any good downgrade options for quite some time, and was thinking yesterday that McLean might have been the "one that got away" after the initial round of cash cows. Would have given owners a bit of a leg up.

Daniel looks like a reasonable replacement, and without having seen either of them play, I imagine his JS may benefit from McLean missing games.

Daniel showed plenty last night! Looks tiny on the field - probably because he is tiny - but is a real goer! Had a red-hot crack, made good decisions and hit targets, too.

He is already a tentative part of my trade plans for next week! Beveridge seemed to be quite complimentary as well, which always helps.

Anyone able to provide any information at all on the injury to Lumumba?
Apparently it's his foot and the rest was precautionary. Not sure how accurate that is, but problems with the feet are always a worry IMO. As an owner, I hope he is ok.

Think I read somewhere it wasn't serious and he should be back this week.

I have him as D7 and ironically the one week I needed him to play he was out injured! (best 18 meant it didn't really matter but still, poor form H)

Ruck cover - why didn't anyone tell me at the start of the season that it was stupid and to forget it...
I think all the rucks must have held a meeting pre-season to say they were embarrassed by how fragile they all were last season and to make sure they showed good durability this season.

Tom Bellchambers wasn't invited to the meeting though.

ON THE CUSP: Jack Martin is listed as a test for that ankle, while Josh Glenn was among the best in the NEAFL in his return from an ankle complaint of his own

Doesn't Martin also have a week suspension to sit also? Martin is in my draft league for those wondering why I care

Good pick up, I found this on the Age

"Charlie Dixon and rising star Jack Martin have both been stood down for one match after drinking ahead of their round nine clash against Hawthorn.

Martin, who is currently injured, will miss an extra senior match when he is cleared to return.

I always thought it was going to be hard to tell exactly when he will return
