Only 4 weeks, he got off lightly!

@CJKRobinson: Four-week ban for Alex Silvagni.
Chris Masten's biting charge to be heard next.

Not too sure what happened with the Masten biting incident, hope they don't treat him too harshly. Stupid Suban was probably suffocating him with his arm, what are you suppose to do?

I don't think there was anything wrong with the Adams tackle. You're meant to try to drag someone down in a tackle to stop their movement. Grew a bit of respect for Adams with his level of care towards Parker after that. Clearly just something that happens in the game
I think the care came from him knowing he just broke a guys leg. FWIW i have Adams in my team.

Masten hearing still going, this is from the H/sun

"Masten pleaded not guilty to the charge, with his counsel alleging Suban had “forcefully” wrapped his arm around the West Coast midfielder’s mouth.

Masten said he had “no intention” to bite, claiming his mouth was locked onto Suban’s forearm in the grapple.

“I felt an arm or something around my face and mouth area and pressure from behind… squeezed into my mouth area,” Masten told the hearing.

But Suban, who was at the hearing to give evidence, said he didn’t agree that he had pressed his arm forcefully against Masten’s mouth."

The tribunal heard Suban had been put on five days’ worth of antibiotics following the alleged bite, which had broken skin on his left forearm.

The Eagles called in a human movement expert to propose Masten’s mouth movement could have been a jaw reflex action.

@RealFooty1: Tribunal latest: Chris Masten found guilty of misconduct (biting) over Nick Suban incident |

@adampaps: Jury just deciding on penalty. AFL want 3-4 weeks. Eagles want the regular penalty for a first offence of misconduct - a fine - or low Susp

@WillSchofield: Mark down today's date in your calendar. The players code is no more.

Not sure biting was ever in the "players code", terrible act!

Definitely, should have got 6 the bloody grub. Disgusting. Biting a bloke is much worse then what Silvagni did.

If masten is guilty he should get 8 weeks. Whether its a first offence or twentieth shouldnt matter the suspension should fit the crime. And while im in the ranting mindset why should an early plea get them 1 week less. Theres a similar problem with our own justice system, the sentence given to someone found guilty should be the minimum sentence they serve IF they behave and extra time added on if they play up and not the other way round. Alot of murders get reduced to manslaughter in return for a guilty plea in order to help free up court time, devalues a persons life.

Gold Coast duo Jarrod Harbrow and Tom Nicholls are reportedly set to join Trent
McKenzie on the sidelines for the remainder of the AFL season.
McKenzie has already been confirmed as a casualty for the final three matches of the
campaign due to a hamstring tendon injury.
But AFL.com is reporting Harbrow will undergo surgery on shoulder, ankle and knee
injuries while ruckman Nicholls won't be risked after hurting his knee in last week's
heavy loss to Richmond.
It leaves the Suns light on players for Saturday's clash with Essendon, with key
forward Charlie Dixon also set to miss out after injuring his right ankle in the defeat
to the Tigers at the MCG.

Hmm prob means Glenn might be a chance at a recall, which will help those who have potential donuts and no trades.
