How do you guys decide who goes in what league every year?
Rowsus usually does them.
But in short, a mixture of your previous rankings & your activity on the forum!
I think you'd be a lock for a Div 1 or champions league spot next year as you have both xD!

There is also an element of "get in early" to the process as well, especially for the some of the later Leagues. Registrations of interest usually open in around January each year, so you need to be paying attention :)

The leagues with names like SCS Western Derby, SCS Trilobites etc... are informal leagues set up by members. The "Formal" SCS Leagues are the numbered ones as well as Champions League and Premier League and it is these ones which provide medals as a prize for premiers.

That's what I meant oops. I just joined that league because I had a spare spot. Hopefully I can be in a formal league next year.

I would think you will definitely be able to be in a League - you just need to make sure you register early enough. Rowsus usually just keeps adding leagues to fit everyone in, but there will be a cut-off point as some stage prior to the season where he will stop. (the guy needs to find time to get his own team finalized after all :p )

You will definitely get into a formal league.

It's just a matter of which league, which Rowsus has a complicated set of criteria, that can change from year to year so I won't try to explain it exactly. Essentially the first few leagues a stronger weighting is put on regular active long term posters, it's not all about previous year's ranking. Then there is also a factor of timing, so if you post your interest in the first few weeks of Rowsus opening up the thread he will start to allocate leagues. Hence you you put your hand up a month after SC has opened you might find the leagues are already allocated up to number 9,10, 11 etc.

Incidentally I reckon League SCS 07 is one of the better late leagues to be in, has done very well last year and this year, even though they are different people in them!!

Plus what Bomber18 and Ricky Bobby said.

It's clearly because 7 is a lucky number!!!

Cheers for the explanation. I'll make sure to get in early!

Blocked website domain when on the Herald Sun Supercoach website

Forgive me if this is the wrong board to start this thread on.

As of yesterday, when on the Herald Sun Supercoach site, my anti-malware software (Malwarebytes Pro) pops up with
a blocked website/domain titled "s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com". The program has never given me this warning before when on the Herald Sun site, just started yesterday.

Has anyone else encountered this pop-up or any other alerts when going on the site? I'm glad my software is doing it's job and blocking any potential unwanted programs from running on my computer but i'm guessing it might be over zealous in doing it's job.

Sorry again if this is posted in the wrong place, am interested to hear from anyone else who has encountered something similar lately.

I had trouble yesterday for about 10 minutes when I tried to look at supercoachscores. I'm only a novice when it comes to computers but it said something about the domain. But I don't believe I had anything else open at the time.
I looked around my loungeroom and thought what the f... am I going to do now?

Could it be related to the AWS outages in Sydney over the weekend? This took down the HS site and a stack of others so maybe they're routing their traffic through some different servers or something (them or AWS themselves)?

I was in SCS07 last year. It was a great league. Must be a numerical thing, or else something to do with numbers, or something. :p

Saints champion Nick Riewoldt will continue his AFL career into a 17th season after signing a one-year contract extension.

DPP is so confusing and amazing. I've just been tinkering with my plans and found a way to fix up my poor bye structure with DPP and get an extra player on field.

Had the prospect of Collins being stuck as E in R14 which was no good after going through with my planned trade of Petracca to Rance via Ueber DPP.
Realized I could do it alternatively through Petracca to Rance via Bartel DPP (putting Ueber as E instead in DEF)
But then I'd have Bartel stuck in the mids. To fix that I can trade Birchall to JJ (my original plan) while shuffling around the DPP links.
First go Birchall out, shuffle Bartel back, shuffle Phillips to mids, shuffle Ueber fwd, then trade in a defender! This will work right? The wonders of DPP!

Now I don't need a miracle from Ueber to play a game and will definitely have 19 players on field in R14. Of course this is pending news that Hall & Mathieson both indeed return from their omissions.

In short, my advice is play around with DPP during the byes to try figure out ways to get all your players on field and avoiding wasting players as emergencies.
