DPP is so confusing and amazing. I've just been tinkering with my plans and found a way to fix up my poor bye structure with DPP and get an extra player on field.

Had the prospect of Collins being stuck as E in R14 which was no good after going through with my planned trade of Petracca to Rance via Ueber DPP.
Realized I could do it alternatively through Petracca to Rance via Bartel DPP (putting Ueber as E instead in DEF)
But then I'd have Bartel stuck in the mids. To fix that I can trade Birchall to JJ (my original plan) while shuffling around the DPP links.
First go Birchall out, shuffle Bartel back, shuffle Phillips to mids, shuffle Ueber fwd, then trade in a defender! This will work right? The wonders of DPP!

Now I don't need a miracle from Ueber to play a game and will definitely have 19 players on field in R14. Of course this is pending news that Hall & Mathieson both indeed return from their omissions.

In short, my advice is play around with DPP during the byes to try figure out ways to get all your players on field and avoiding wasting players as emergencies.

Yes the dpp has improved to the way it use to be, being able to move multiple players within the one trade/ move rather than just being allowed to move one player.

I do remember the days of only being able to do one switch. How frustrating!
Very handy now being able to switch freely! Trading a DEF for a DEF but shuffling around your DPP links is something new for me though.

So now we're going to have a womens AFL comp next year does anyone have an inkling whether we'll get a Supercoach version of it? Could be a good summer fix!

Thanks for reminding about DPP, community!
Just realised I could swap Adams with Ueber, put Collins on field and have Adams cover a forward donut, giving me 21 on field. Might not mean much with only top 18 scores but if Collins does score well, I'll get the score rather it being on my bench!

Does anyone know how to change the AFL website back to mobile view? I changed it to desktop to see all the teams and can't work out how to change it back.

Not quite the answer to your question but I use the AFL app (android), not sure whether you've tried this previously.

I had the app but wasn't happy about something. Can't remember exactly. I don't think it was clear to me if I was subscribing or not. I went back to just using the website and have been happy until tonight.

Does anybody know where to get the chart of strengths by position?
The one that shows what position players score against different opponents?

Any North supportes watching last night's game think we looked better without Waite up forward (apart from the tragic kicking for goal?

Daw as backup ruck seemed a lot better than Ben Brown so if Waite comes back (likely) maybe BB should go, although he offers much more up forward than Daw.

Just can't get over how powerful Daw is once he's had 3 quarters to warm up - you genuinely fear for the guy being tackled as he hits the ground!

Ben Brown was actually clunking marks! Don't drop him!

I know! He looked great without Waite on the ground, which makes me think we're potentially more balanced without Waite at all (or at least in the form he's been in the last 2-3 weeks).

Media Statement: NMFC wishes to withdraw statements made in last night's post match media conference regarding the umpiring.
After disc. with players and AFL it's been established conversations b/w players and staff were misconstrued and relayed incorrectly.
We understand and accept these alleged comments did not come from any umpire...
The club is embarrassed by, and accepts full responsibility for, the situation that has unfolded ...and unreservedly apologises to the umpires for any distress it may have caused them.
The club accepts its players are not umpired differently and the umpires do not have "pre-conceived ideas" going into games.

North Melbourne has received a $50,000 sanction for comments regarding the umpires after their round 13 game against Hawthorn.
Brad Scott has also received a sanction of $30,000 for the comments he made on behalf of the club at the post-match press conference.

Does anybody remember a couple of months ago when a member posted a link to a website where the user typed in the name of the supercoach team and it showed how many trades that team had left? Stupidly forgot to bookmark it at the time.

Cheers!
