Actually was looking on a PC at the moment, not my phone.

Anyway mate, all good. Found what I wanted. Just needed to check time on ground of Dylan Shiel against two other players was considering in a live draft. When I saw Shiel is only 76% helped me decide he had more upside in score average for coming year so grabbed him whilst I could before some draft sharks could nab him. 18 more picks to next pick he would have been gone.
You may need to click on the "advanced stats" thing, and select it as one of the stats you want to see.

Do not think afltables.com site has advanced stats section

I think you are thinking of afl.com.au site itself which indeed worked out later in day basically it and afltables site will have same type of stats for each season but for some reason afltables site no longer have the ground time percentage showing on my browser on computer. Do not understand why but it is clear afl.com.au is more user friendly for this stuff now so the place to go in this case.

The TOG% from AFL TABLES site is still visible for me...

When you select a player to view, scroll down the page until you reach their individual game stats. From here, the TOG% stats is in the far right column, under the title '%P'.

yeah, you are right. Found it on some stats pages but for others not.
Bit of an odd thing but least it is there if keeping clicking to different pages.
Main stats page looking at yesterday for some reason does not have it.

Does anyone know where one obtains the "Hit Outs to Advantage" stats?
From what I seen in recent seasons the only place I have seen them is actual match stats in newspaper and live games on tv they sometimes show what it is at the time. But as far as recorded on afl.com.au site or afltables.com never seen them.

I think they are one of those stats Champion Data do not give out so freely.
Probably got to compile them yourself from the Hun each week with the stats on each AFL game.

I do not have this years Prospectus.
Have last years one and for Ruck types in their own player profile it will show 4 stats regarding hit outs.

HO for hit outs averages
%WIN for hit out win percentage
HAD for hit outs to advantage average
%WIN for hit outs to advantage win percentage

So for Goldy of 2015 it was showing 44.1 HO, 50.4 %WIN, 14.1 HAD, 18.1 %WIN
Also shows league average below that for rucks of 2015.
I actually do not know what the win percentage means in the above.

From what I read he averaged 14.1 hit outs to advantage for season 2015 from average of 44.1 hit outs a game.

I am sure Prospectus 2017 has same type of info for every single ruck type for last season stats.

Having them all in a nice table together to easily compare I have not seen though and sounds like what you are after. Do not think you will see that easy to find.
If someone has this years Prospectus they could probably compile one if they went through the 2 or 3 ruck types on every club players profile in book and input those averages in for each player and made a nice table.

Thanks for that! I didn't expect there to be a nice table, but good to know they are available in the prospectus.

Most of the figures you have there for Goldstein match up with what someone sent me from last years prospectus, but there is one different.

Goldstein:
44.1 Hitouts game, with a winning percentage of 50.4%
From this we get that Goldstein was in 44.1/0.504 = 87.5 contests/game.
14.1 H2A's/game, which is 16.1% of the contests he was in, 32.0% of the Hitouts he won.
I'm not sure where your 18.1% comes in, maybe it's a typo from the 16.1%.

Excellent!!!!

Indeed it is a typo and thanks for explaining the context of the win % stats.
Makes total sense now and indeed where I typed 18.1% it should have been 16.1%
Big thumbs up for pointing it out Rowsus.

Hey guys, just wondering, throughout the season what is the best website to use in terms of all AFL injuries??

For a Keeper League that my mates are starting up, we are wanting a site that provides information in terms of injuries and expected duration to assist in determining whether a player can be put on the LTI list or not.

Anyone got a reasonable site that may be helpful so we can get consistency in our judgements.

Hey guys, general question about starting team structure - Is there anything wrong starting a hybrid player out of position if cash, rookies or structure demand it?

For example, starting Adams in the midfield because the extra $100k (instead of a MID premium) allows you to get all the necessary rookies while still getting a keeper that can move to DEF later?

I don't see an issue with it if he fits 1) your structure and 2) your plan :) there are many ways to win this game :p

It has traditionally been avoided as generally the best premiums are midfielders and the best rookies tend to also be midfielders, so midfield spots are treated as a premium.

The way I like to look at is flipping it to look at what happens with the rookies as a result. Essentially by starting Adams in the mids you really only have 10 mids and have decided to start an extra back rookie over a midfield rookie. If you think that your D7 who you will now push up to D6 can outscore whoever would have been your M8 otherwise, then sure go for it.

Mitch Cleary reporting Jobe Watson has informed the club he does not wish to be captain in 2017.
