There's always one in every crowd. But can't say i'm disappointed in myself, it usually always is me. :)
might explain why Dixon hands appear off when marking

He is dating a former Miss Australia/World contestant

As a hawks supporter - this along with Hodgey's retirement last year - is this most shattering day since Dunstall did his ACL in the elimination final against swans in the 90s.

.... 2011 prelim loss to collingwood and 2012 GF loss to Swans comes close... but Cyril retiring is the worst.

Is definitely a big loss. Enjoy the good times he brought.

Cyril has given us so much, and as a Hawthorn supporter more than we probably deserve? I hope all is well with him and his family and wish him all the joy and happiness in the world. The best "10 possession player" I have every seen.

well done Cyril on a great career

feel sorry for Bruce

not sure if Cyril is contracted for 2019 or not , but certainly could give a edge into the Hawks enticing Lynch & Sloane to Glenferrie.

was contracted till end of 2020. So yeah bigger cap space now.

Heard we were into Mitch McGovern too - but i would prefer us keep our 1st round pick as it is meant to be a great draft this year.

will take years to know whether the draft is a super draft , expect the Hawks to land at least one of Lynch and/or Sloane if not both.

They especially need a ready to go mid not develop a U 18 kid who may or not make it , just wait a few years then grab them in a trade.

The Suns had 4 top 10 picks in 2016 and very likely Brodie and Scrimshaw will be leaving at the end of the season

Good point - I've always liked Rory Sloane, would love to get him - midfield of Sloane Titch OMeara looks solid.

I remember in 2001 people wanted the same too and we took a punt on a young Luke Hodge - granted we have the first pick but at some point we are gonna need to roll the dice on a young draftee.

Hawks to get Sloane, Lynch and McGovern..?
With Cyril gone, i can see us fitting both Sloane and Lynch in our cap - but don't really know how we can fit McGovern as well. Forward line of Lynch and McGovern would definitely help with some contested marking - something we are very very poor at.
