CARLTON has continued its list re-shaping with today's axing of an experienced quartet in Nick Graham, Sam Kerridge, Jed Lamb and Sam Rowe.
All four were regular faces in 2018, with Lamb playing 18 matches, Rowe 17, Kerridge and Graham 10 each.
They come after Irish recruits Ciaran Byrne and Cillian McDaid decided to return to Ireland last week.
It will leave the Blues with only four players in Ed Curnow, Matthew Kreuzer, Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson to have played with the club prior to 2012.
And it will see them enter 2019 with one of the youngest lists in Carlton's history as they attempt to rebuild following almost two decades of little September action.
