How did Archie Smith look today? I have no confidence in Fort playing rd 1 after watching him in JLT 1. Let’s hope he has t a better game in JLT 2 but he looked sluggish and a step off the pace.

Reading that Martin has a heel complaint so every chance you could go Smith/Clarke R2/3.

Martin played in the NEAFL game on Saturday so not sure how bad his injury is.

I expect Mumford will be back round 3-5 somewhere. Priced at 320, with massive ceiling, has to be part of your overall trade planning. Obviously won’t start him but perhaps means rolling the dice on someone priced 350-450 and having that downgrade as a backup plan.

I was planning on Grundy, Westhoff Mummy as my rucks with dpp fwd rookie.
I've reconsidered, even if Mummy is fit and that's not a given as he didn't play last weekend I don't believe the idea is to play him every week, he will be rotated to ensure he is fit for a finals push.
That means the weeks he doesn't play I am down a top 10 fwd with rookie cover.
I still have Westhoff as my R2, but no Mummy, hoping Zac Clarke gets a run to be my R3 now

Still tossing up R2, with Gawn, Goldy, Westhoff all options. Probably less keen on some of the cheaper options than others here, but that could change. Surprised starting Westhoff at R2 while seeing how Gawn goes isn't more popular.

Pruess’ game has made me select big Gawn.

The other reason I’m thinking Gawn at this stage is just the dirth of quality rucks in the competition. If Gawn had to play Grundy, McEvoy and Goldy each week it might be a different story, but most teams have a jumping bag instead of a good ruck.

I wonder if he’ll go solo early but be Preuss affected later in the year (to lighten his load a bit). Thus if he’s gonna average 115-120 for the year, his 125+ will come early and the 110 will come later in the year. He also has an easier ruck draw early on with St Kilda also in his first 5.

Have decent mail that we will see Sam Draper from the Bombers in JLT2. Tore up a VFL practice match over the weekend as well I'm told.

Not sure whether it means Clarke will miss out or not, but I notice Bellcho didn't play JLT1 so you'd think they'd want so minutes into him before round 1.

I’m not so sure Gawn drops that much even with Preuss in the team. He’s more valuable on the field than on the bench and can make an impact forward still

yeah, I am currently running a Grundy,Gawn,Macrae team after avoiding the latter 2 until last weekend.

I just don't really want Goldy and I am not sure why, if I had to take a cheaper second ruck that isn't a rookie or Kruezer it would be S.Martin.
