I'd put Oliver ahead of Neale if not for some degree of concern about the impact of his shoulder surgeries in the long run (I'm not a Doctor so I'm unsure how he'll pull up after every game at the start of the year etc etc)

RE: absence of reliable (Def) rookies
Then Darcy Moore would be the pick.
Haha exactly but maybe Collins can play a bit better than he did in the second game? he was alright in the first JLT albeit against a Bulldogs side who struggle to hit targets inside 50.

I think Steele can go to 105+ this season but I also feel like M Crouch is likely to go to at least 107+. if you take out his injury last year he averaged 104.5 and then the crows improving gives him more points and score involvements and he immediately goes up to 107+. Having all of the Crouch brothers, Gibbs and Sloane together for the first time might lead him to accumulate slightly less ball, but I'd doubt it as he seems to play even better when at least Sloane and his brother play well.

If you reckon Steel and M Crouch are close to averaging the same, then I'm guessing Moore will score much better then Collins.
Ok, Collins may only be a bench player, then compare Moore with your playing Def Rookie, and see if there is an average difference there. That may help you decide?

M.Crouch and 150k or less rookie (any line)
V
B.Crouch and Libba
M.Crouch and 150k rookie (assuming they are on field and not the locks like Scrimshaw, Setterfield, Butters etc.?)

Libba and Brad at least 1 will get injured in my opinion. Higher upside but so much risk with those two.

Yeah got all the usual suspects and yes will be on field.

Just changed Sloane and Bailey Smith, thoughts ?

I don’t like Smith’s job security and like the upside of Steele and Brayshaw over Sloane.

If I had the choice I’d go M.Crouch over any mid not named Cripps, Macrae, Fyfe or Oliver right now.

Option one, and try to get Moore forward if you can.
Can't put Moore forward because of structure and money so it's one or the other, I think I'm gonna go the Moore and Steele route, some chance I still end up with Crouch by trading another player if I need Collins because of a lack of rookies.

Some of these are pretty close, but I'd say:

Fyfe
Dusty
Neale
Crouch
Oliver
Steele
Cogs
Brayshaw
Don't mind the Dusty at number 2 at all but something about him makes me not trust him entirely due to his potential to always go on bad runs of form and Crouch feels safer. Dusty will go 105-112 in my opinion with a bit more upside than Crouch but you factor in Crouch's injury and his average goes up to 104.5, you factor in Adelaide improving and him getting more score involvements and he's already at 107. You then think about how his kicking got absurdly bad at some stage last year but that it has been better before. You can also look at how he scored around the time his hamstrings were playing up and he was returning from injury and I just think he's very underpriced, Dusty has more risk but a bit more upside.
