Bit earlier than I said I was going to post, but this is what I've decided on so far post team announcements:
Hookers: Koroisau (Holland)
FRF: Fifita, Taupau (Napa, Host)
2RF: J.Trbojevic, Lane, Hess (Murray, Garner, Burr)
HB: Johnson, (Keighran)
5/8: Moylan, (D.Brown)
CTW: Addo-Carr, S.Mata'utia, J.Bateman, Capewell, (Garrick, Nikora, Ravalawa)
FB: Gutherson, (Nicoll-Klokstad)
39,300 leftover
Now this is probably a very different side to what you will see as I've forgone some of the best FB and hooker options in favour of some of the mid-priced players that I believe will perform well early season. I would recommend not going with what I've done as it could be a massive backfire if things don't work out! On the flipside, I will have a lot of heavy scorers if it does go well.
There's a surprising amount of Sharks players in my team which wasn't intentional, as there is some great value in Nikora and Capewell who are starting in the absence of Wade Graham. The fact they play some weaker defences in early matches has also got me excited at the potential for Johnson, Moylan and Fifita who are all primed for big seasons.
I've gone heavy in 2RF and FRF, so I'm hoping it pays off for me. I've gone for CTW's that are 2nd rowers as I'm hoping for consistent points rather than the odd big score and nothing in between.
Cheapies wise I've gone pretty standard to what others will have gone. Keighran, Brown and Nikora should see decent job security. Garrick, Ravalawa, Burr, Host and Garner may see less time when their teams are at full strength, but I'm happy to ride the wave and adjust if need be. If anyone has questions about why I've gone this way, go for it.
