Looks like we’ll be regretting not having Keighran as a reserve! Great run there for a lot of points.
:cry:. Shouldn't have fiddled around and switched after I had the R on him for the majority of the past week/fortnight but ah well hopefully Sivo can go close.

I’ll be honest, I never considered him for the reserve spot so I won’t feel the pang of regret as much as some others. Good for price rises though!

Just catching up, and it looks like I have a long way to catch up!

331/6+C (Tedesco)

I set a team about 4 weeks ago. I had a busy week and checked in on Thursday and saw I had 7 players without a green light, so replaced them based on ownership % with green lights with no time for research!

Maybe I just wanted to give you all a head start!

On a brighter note, I have Keighran ... pity he is on my bench!!

Napa and Holland for me. Like most, Keighran on my bench.

Edit: hmm where did Burr go from my team

So unlucky. He was actually looking to be a pretty poor pick up until that try. Sometimes you make the right call and still lose, that is fantasy all over. Sivo still in for a shot though.

bit late to the party today (rerun of Rocky on TV)

Burr (R) & Holland

Keighran on my bench but given it was between him and CHT to start never considered him as a R.

Holland and Napa ok considering the bulldogs got thumped. Expect better scores when they put on more than 6 points, especially from Holland.

You've got to be happy with having the R on Burr.

tbh he was a lucky guess as well , I am liking the fact I know next to nothing about players and match ups and what they may or may not score , I suspect it will go pear shaped quickly when I look at averages and build my 17 that way

I know Keighran’s had a good score this week but if we break it down we can see roughly what his base points should look like week to week.

Try: 17 points
Goals kicked: 24 points (22 when you take the one he missed off)
Line breaks: 20 points
Tackle breaks: 10 points
Linebreak assist: 7
Forced dropouts: 6 points
Tackles: 7
Hitups over 8m: 4 points

71 points from attacking stats out of 86. Whilst halves are usually good for attacking stats, it’s a bit of a worry if the warriors face better defensive threats. Blake green did a lot of the kicking throughout the game as predicted, so it’s fair to say keighran will have some lean weeks in attack where the warriors don’t do so well.

Now if we look at the base stats which are hitups and tackles, this is where we worry for future games. The warriors completely dominated the bulldogs in their defence, which meant Keighran was largely protected from defending much.

You can bet your bottom dollar that better offensive teams than the dogs (traditionally have been poor in last 2-3 seasons) will target the new half and cause a lot of problems for him. It will 100% mean more tackles but also missed tackles.

The main thing that worries me is that Keighran didn’t do a lot of the kicking and largely is relying on his own running of the ball, of which he only did twice. He ran the ball twice in a game where they completely dominated a team.

However, it’s not until round 5 that the warriors play a decent defensive team, so I think we can run the risk of sticking him in our 17 if there are a lack of options or like taking a punt.

Great analysis!
I agree with everything. Even with his amazing score, there is still a high chance I will keep him in NPRs for round 2.
If he does it all again I might change my mind.

Also, I gave some bad advice earlier. I said I do not like halves who don't get kick metres (in reference to Blake Green taking all the kicks and Keighran having very few). In SC kick metres are not counted anyway, so everybody take note of that and do not listen to me. My head is swimming in NRL Fantasy still and having trouble making the Supercoach leap at times.

Garner was my reserve up until an hour before the game. Boy am I regretting that decision
He has been in the majority of drafts for my team as well and Kahu recently came back in because I managed to free up some cash getting rid of Mitchell and Cleary. Thankfully Morgan went big so not the end of the world.

823 with Bateman and Nicoll-Klokstad to come for me.
