Is there anyone here starting Bailey Smith?

Strongly considering given his junior form (sc scoring-wise) was the closest to Walsh's. But the dogs run so many through the mids which makes it tough to pick any juniors, as I always worry they'll be boxed into the pressuring-forward-pocket role. That being said, it's either him or Cousins at this stage.

Really struggling with this Balta pick. To fit him in, one of Drew/Petrucelle/Parker go (Drew currently on field). All bar Parker seem to have sketchy JS, Balta +Drew seem to have the most scoring potential though. I feel if I bring in Balta is a recipe to be burned but I also feel I can't miss out!

Agreed, Petruccelle only averaged 5 disposals in 3 games last year from 87 mins game time, and only had more than 15 disposals twice,in the WAFL. Parker averaged 13 disposals in the WAFL,but also averaged 4 tackles and a goal as well, and is 190 cm. Should have good JS. I did have him in,but could be getting sucked in to the Balta hype.Slim pickings in fwd rooks.

I want to pick Balta too, but not sure about his JS ,think he’s there to give Nank a rest. Sure they said they won’t be risking Lynch in the ruck ( he’s 193cm ,Balta is 194cm). He’s a much better athlete than Soldo,and that versatility may keep him in the side. He is only 19 but he is 100 kg and pretty quick. Could be a good asset around the ground. Well,I’ve convinced myself, he’s in !?

I've had him in my side for a while, and being only $102k is handy, but I'm not convinced that he will be a high scorer; and with it looking like we may get enough suitable rookies playing, I'm thinking I may drop him.

To fit balta in i need to move drew to mid but dont want to as i like his potential scoring on fielsld at f6.
Hope petruccelle isn't named so i can swap him for balta. Will force the decision for me

Yeah i think you're on the money mate, nice to keep him in your back pocket if some of the other names fall over, but there seems to be many better options at this stage.

I have a "cunning plan" Going to put Blata on the bench with an E then thinking that I might remove Petruccelle, put Bines into the forward line and get in Z Clarke. This of course depends on A: Blata doing well tonight and B: Clarke getting picked hopefully Clarke will make some nice cash

If what I've been told from a reliable source for Bombers info Clarke won't be playing. So have your Plan B at least ready to go.
