@Connoisseur Does Bronson Xerri help you get both Tedesco and Ponga in a timely manner?
Extremely beneficial. Have decided to bring Teddy in this week and forego the 2nd option as Tedesco's ceiling should compensate for J Friend missing and B Smith filling in. Seems weird to bring C Allan back in after trading him for Burns last week but I think I'll likely do that as it will allow me to get Okunbor next week for J Tatola thus freeing up overall 140,000 to 150,000+ but the only problem will be finding a way to get B Nikora down to CTW to push Sivo to the bench but Ravalawa could be traded via B Nikora thus freeing up approximately 100,000. Then Garrick can be downgraded to Xerri thus providing more than sufficient to go D Brown/A Keighran to K Ponga.

Therefore to simplify it:
Trades:
RD4: Out: B Burns, M Moylan, In: C Allan, J Tedesco 35,500 remaining salary
RD5: Out: J Tatola, In: J Okunbor (via J Host), approx 140,000+ remaining salary
RD6: Out: M Ravalawa, R Garrick In: 2RF/FRF rookie (via B Nikora), B Xerri, 400,000+ remaining salary
RD7: Out: D Brown/A Keighran, K Ponga, 100,000 remaining salary

or an easier option rather than trading all of J Tatola, R Garrick and M Ravlawa would involve Tolman downgraded to ? freeing up anywhere from 100,000 to 300,000.

I would appreciate any advice as I'm a bit stuck on what to do. 73900 in the bank.
An option could be Out: J Kahu, B Burns, In: C Gutherson, C Allan/ J Okunbor thus pushing one of Sivo/Capewell to the bench as a reserve in the 17 which means you're really turning Garrick into King Gutho in regards to your 17. Apart from that very solid structure and line up.

For your current needs Jim, I'd say what Connoisseur has said is probably the best option for you. Would've liked you to trade kamikamica out but you'd rather Gutherson in now while he's affordable.

At the moment my squad is going to be carrying a few injuries but I'm not addressing them as yet. I'm doing something I'm not overly keen on, but its going to mean I can do the two trades I want next week whilst also picking up a cheapie I want despite not getting his price rise until his 3rd game.

Capewell > Okunbor
Hess > Gutherson (via Capewell moving to ctw)

I'm planning to parlay this into:

Moylan > Ponga (pending points at fullback this week)
Friend/McCullough > Cook

This would give me a Round 5 squad of:

Cook (Friend/McCullough)
Fifita, Taupau (Napa, Host)
Arrow, Lane, Burgess (Murray, Garner, Okunbor)
Morgan (Brown)
Ponga (Keighran)
Gutherson, J.Bateman, Nikora, Sivo (Burns, Garrick, Ravalawa)
Tedesco (Nicoll-Klokstad)

If I don't have enough cash for the Hooker upgrade, then I'll just downgrade to Rein and hope he can give me enough cash in the next couple of weeks to get me to Cook. It all relies a little on Cook and/or Ponga coming down in price this week, which is possible with their current BE's (84 and 99 respectively).

Struggling on what to do with my second trade for this week. At the moment I think I'll go Burns to Allan, next week I'll grab Okunbor, and then the following week I'll pick up Xerri and possible Harris-tavita. I want to wait on those guys just in case they get injured or something before their first price rise. Hopefully with all the downgrades I'll be able to move Ponga up to 5/8 and bring in Tommy Turbo for Keighran. Other than that, I'm not sure if I actually need to make any other trades at the moment, but would appreciate someone's thoughts.

I’d honestly avoid Allan if I were you, he’s not going to make a lot of cash and when Burns returns he’s going to be an AE nightmare if he’s retained on the bench. It’s the main reason i didn’t pick him up round 1.

There are better cash out options available even though you might have to wait an extra week for the price change.

Any other players you think I should trade out this week then? Main reason I want to downgrade Burns is just to start building up cash for Turbo and Masters.

Cashing out to Okunbor, Xerri or another basement price CTW is an option. There aren't any boom cheapies this week so its one of those weeks where we are trading blind.

Allan has a BE of 10, but he scored 44 in 80 minutes with a try and a linebreak in a very open game. It doesn't look like he goes looking for work (10 hitups in 80 minutes for a winger is pretty pathetic), so he's largely going to rely on scoring tries via good work of other players.

You can take the risk, but there's too many red flags in that score of 44 that make me think he's a trap.

With Tedesco scoring over 75 with the VC tag, I will most definitely be taking double points. Anyone else had him as VC and planning to loop?

VC'd new recruit Teddy but won't bother looping and leave the C on E Marsters.

I did. Is it worth taking given my AE score will most likely be Flegler's 20?

I'm taking AE points either way with Moylan and Brown in my 5/8ths, so my situation might be different to yours. If you're not confident of your other captaincy options going large then you can take the risk, but otherwise back in the captain that you were keen on from the start.

Trying to be patient with the rookies, so waiting for them to hit the two game threshold. I couldn't go Moylan to Gutherson in one trade so I've gone with a POD in Junior Paulo (via DPP moves), who also has plays in round 12.

Thrown the VC on Arrow and I've kept Burns.
