Not sure where to ask this but what would we normally look at scoring over the 3 bye rounds? I think this might have been a discussion last year but I can't remember what was said.

My team, before doing upgrades over the byes, looks like averaging around 1,800 per round over the 3 MBRs so am interested to see how far off the pace that would be

5,400!

If you can average 1,800 each round you’re doing well.

Who are the best rookie downgrades the next 3 rounds??
The best one I think appears to be Larkey, has the best scoring potential and JS but is pricey.

In terms of cheaper options, I think the best ones would be ones named this round (hopefully). Sounds like a few names like Naish, RCD, RYoung, Begley, Quaynor are possibly chances. Maybe Hind.

So essentially we’ll find out on Thursday but until then Stocker or Larkey are probably the best bets.

I'm sure there's been a bye analysis thread following the byes in previous years where people have posted weekly ranks/points and overall gain or fall during that period.

Might just be me and my phone but the search function isn't helping me much...

I remember doing a table of bye round scores 2 years back I think based on the SCS group members. From memory the highest was around 5800-5900 which would improve your ranking heaps. Not sure which thread it was in, may have been a Grand Slam thread.

Probably a double downgrade to Hately and Larkey.
If I recall, a score of 1,900 for 18 players, if you can get that many on the park, is pretty good.

Here’s the last 2 year’s MBR review threads. Unfortunately due to the system upgrade the tables have turned into code but if you can figure out how the formatting would’ve been, you can find the info relatively easily.

2018 https://supercoachscores.com/threads/complete-mbr-review.3864/

2017 https://supercoachscores.com/threads/complete-mbr-review.3590/

The one thing that has remained constant is that if you are at least ‘ok’ heading into the byes, and trade well through the byes, you are a certainty to improve overall.

Had to ask....ZORKO?
One thing that surprised me when I looked him up is that he's 30. Wouldn't rule him out for me, but history would suggest that the downside risks are building. I didn't mind him as a pick pre season, but he hasn't shown as much as I expected to date.

I just voted (5,400-99) in the 2017 poll to see the summarised results.

Worth flagging that poll results are probably skewed somewhat toward those who did better over the byes :D

What are people’s thoughts on Rockliff?

Doesn’t look to have any shoulder issues.

Is 467k and has a great run of opponents:

Gold Coast
St Kilda
Hawthorn
Fremantle

Mids against GC this year are averaging about 130 each so far.

Wines out for another 6 weeks.

Outside of the concussion game has averaged near on 110.

BE of 97 is it worth grabbing Dunkley this week and then moving Drew -> Rockliff next week and putting Dunkley forward.

Dunkley with a 33 BE against Geelong
Vs
Rockliff with a 97 BE against GC

They are pretty much the same when comparing mids scoring against GC and mids scoring against Geelong.

Who would you take this week?
Or just take Dunkley and don’t take Rockliff at all and look elsewhere?

I actually don't mind it and if you were certain you were going to grab Rocky, then i would pull the trigger this week even if it is going to cost you a bit of cash. I don't see Dunkley dominating against Geelong but Rocky could potentially go huge against GC.
