Good luck everyone for the bye round. Think I have about 8 for this one! :ROFLMAO:
Good luck to you too. Changed my trade plans with my amended trades involving R Paperhuyzen traded instead of P Herbert for B Too instead of C Cust and grabbing D Walker for CHT at 5/8 instead of CTW. Have 10 players this round (J Taumalolo (C), S Burgess, S Lane, A Tolman, M Taupau, D Walker, B Too, C Gutherson, B Ferguson, CNK).

Will allow me to trade P Herbert to RTS or T Trbojevic either in RD13 or RD14.

Would keep your core players regardless and look to trade some of the maxed rookies/etc and not bother about the byes with players brought in instead preferring players you want for the run home.

An option could be J Hodgson out due to his injury for either his replacement S Havili increasing your remaining salary to 400,000 or you could trade him to C Smith/R Farah.

Or you could trade L Garner to V Kikau increasing your numbers for RD12 possibly allowing J Hodgson to C McInnes with the remaining cash.
Thanks Connoisseur

After stewing on it for a couple of days I’m thinking of going a double down to build the bank for the big 5 trade week!

Thinking Garner to Cust or Too with the first trade.

The second is a bit harder and looking at offloading Hodgson but not a lot of options if I want someone playing this week as I have no Hooker DPP. Can anyone tell me a bit more about Sione Katoa? I note he is down $90k on his season start and has a negative BE of -2. Is he likely to improve his scoring over the origin period? He could be a filler for me for a few weeks before using him (or utilising his DPP) to get Smith/Farah.

If I do the above trades I could be sitting on a bank of $660k with 20 trades left to try and bring it home.

SUPERCOACH CHEAPIE BIBLE ROUND 12
TRENT COPELAND, THE DAILY TELEGRAPH
29 MAY 2019, 11:48:00 AM
Blue dot syndrome!
I don’t know about you, but the Crusaders have been WHACKED by Origin selections, byes (those with blue dots next to their name), injuries and some Dean Pay masterful decision making with Corey Harawira-Naera and Rhyse Martin to sit in dire need of some cheapie saviours.
Thankfully, there are a couple of beauties on offer this week depending on which position or strategy you so desire.
Only four matches this weekend, so make sure you move out your non-playing guys before Thursday night.
Cheapies are the keys to SuperCoach success, and each week I will have your verdict on the most popular and relevant names under the $280k bracket.
Once a player eclipses that price we shall say bon voyage with a final verdict.

We’re looking at minutes played, relevant injuries, torrential rain affected scores and an outlook of the prospects moving forward.
Settle in for our Origin and bye-week edition (only players playing this week) of the Cheapie Bible. Here we go…

Brian To’o CTW (PTH | $168,100) - 54 points
To’o was on fire last weekend, and I’m talking 54 points in pure work rate (37 points in hitups) and tackle busts without any attacking stats.
The great news here is that with Dean Whare and Waqa Blake out long term with injury and DWZ seemingly out the door after requesting a move - the To’o job security seems locked in! With a BE of -20 and projected price rise of $45k even with a score of just 39 against the Sea Eagles, To’o is rightfully one of the most traded in players this week.
VERDICT: BUY. If you’re going the traditional one-down, one-up trade methodology then To’o is your man.

Siliva Havili HOK | 2RF (CBR | $278,500) - 56 points
How about the timing! Josh Hodgson hits the injury list long term, opening up the starting hooker position for Havili just when we need it most to cover the all-important round 12.
For reference, Havili scored 56 points in 40 minutes last weekend with a try, has bottomed out in price (BE just 29), and last season averaged a tick under 50PPG as the starting hooker in Hodgson’s absence (playing around the 50 minute mark).
Just beware, Havili will drop cash FAST when Hodgson returns, but his dual 2RF|HOK eligibility should allow for trading a gun 2RF/CTW that covers round 12 to Cam Smith next week if you don’t already own him.
VERDICT: BUY. I like the dual flexibility/job security Havili offers.

Maweni Hiroti CTW (STH | $181,100) - 24 points
So, we’ve seen the good (64 points on debut with a try and two line breaks) and the bad (24 points without a try) so far with Hiroti.
The dangerous thing of note is the immediate signing for the Rabbitohs of James Roberts, following his release from the Broncos.
It doesn’t affect him this weekend importantly, but given the lack of workrate and likelihood of being dropped in the next two weeks with Gagai, Burns, Roberts etc coming back into the side means he’s a steer clear for me.
VERDICT: AVOID. After looking like a LOCK to be a buy this week after his debut, a lot can happen in the NRL in a week, and that’s exactly why we always wait until the third game to buy a cheapie.

Cade Cust HFB (MNL | $168,100) - 71 points
Turbo was talking this kid up before his debut against the Sharks, and after two games we can all see why!
Cust was exceptional in his second game for the Sea Eagles on the weekend despite the loss to the Titans, scoring 71 points with two try assists, three line break assists, 20 tackles, and an offload - not bad for a rookie!
Hitting round 12 with a BE of -42 and projected rise of $67k with a score of 50 points this weekend against the struggling Panthers seems an exciting prospect.
But, just beware this could be his last game, given DCE is fit for Origin and likely returns in round 13 - unless he can displace Kane Elgey upon DCE’s return instead.
VERDICT: AVOID. Yep, Cust’s not the worst buy that’s for sure, but you don’t want to be stuck with dead weight in your halves priced at $230k with no avenue to get to a gun easily if he does in fact get dropped next weekend.

Bailey Simonsson FLB | CTW (CBR | $199,600) - 51 points
Here he is! Simonsson crosses for a try, has a line break in the process and notched his regular 20+ points in hitups and we get a 51 point score to go with a price rise of $20,000. That leaves Simonsson with a BE of -2 heading into round 12 and a mouth watering matchup against the Bulldogs.
VERDICT: BUY/HOLD. Not for me, but Simonsson is a decent purchase despite the low scores just due to being bottom dollar with round 12 coverage, as a short term option that becomes a nuff/no AE-nightmare once Rapana returns.

Abbas Miski FLB | CTW (MNL | $168,100) - 0 points
Here’s the scenario, Miski has already played two games in Jorge Taufua’s absence on the wing for scores of 22 and 28 with minimal work rate and no real attacking stats.
But, he’s been likened to Josh Mansour in his running/tackle busting ability and gets a look at the wing spot for the Sea Eagles for up to six weeks (potentially) with Brad Parker out with a broken jaw - seeing Reuben Garrick move to centre.
The other potential occurrence (one I think is more likely), is that Tom Trbojevic returns next week, pushing Brendan Elliot to centre and Garrick back to the wing - meaning Miski would be back to Cantebury Cup once again.
VERDICT: AVOID. As per my last point, I think this could be a one and done situation.

Sione Katoa HOK (PTH | $237,500) - 60 points
Katoa played 69 minutes of game time on the weekend, scoring 60 points with a try assist, 34 tackles and two effective offloads in a sign of his upside if things broke right.
Those of you who own Blake Brailey or Nate Roache may want to look into this man or Havili as options.
VERDICT: AVOID. Personally, I would be paying the extra for Havili every day of the week.

Which is the 5 trade week?

In regards to your plan I don't think it's necessary to double downgrade as you have sufficient cash generating options which should allow the typical 1 up and 1 down.

Out: Garner and Hodgson
In: Too (via B Nikora) and C Smith/R Farah
Keeps the same cash situation or an extra 70 if you grab R Farah.

Future trades could involve R Garrick via B Nikora to a 2RF/FRF such as A Tolman/D Klemmer/etc leaving you with approx 150,000. Trading Young to a rookie should allow P Herbert to a K Ponga or RTS by switching J Arthars back to the CTW. Xerri's likley 300,000+ profit could allow other rookies to be upgraded or a swap to L Mitchell or J Bateman for under 100,000.

From the FAQ section, it looks like 5 trades after Round 14 ...

After reading the article klo30 posted above I am now leaning towards Too and Havili (as also you suggested earlier) in this week. I can see the pros for Smith or Farah but not comfortable bringing in someone who is not playing this week.

Wouldn't bother about bypassing them this week as the extra number won't make much difference and whichever you decide you'll get an extra round for strengthening your 17. Also in regards to Havili he is a dpp (also 2RF) so you could grab him next week dependent on his performance this week.

You have a few Origin players. So, on a quick count you have ten this week.

Maybe move Morgan and Arrow on this week for Havili and ?. Ma'a.

Dylan Walker is another option for Morgan. He plays tonight.

Not near computer to do a detailed post.
Already have Walker. Any good premo flb/ctw options not playing origin?

Happy with the performance of new recruits Too and Walker whilst a bit disappointed about bypassing Cust due to his inferior JS.

Might consider S Lane to L Martin (Penrith) next week freeing up approx 180,000+ increasing my overall salary to around 500,000 which if T Trbojevic is named next week will allow him to be selected replacing P Herbert and then Martin to be traded to a 2RF available in R16.

Nothing wrong. Is outside of my 17 and trading to a negative b.e with the ability to earn 100,000 whilst pocketing near 200,000 will help future upgrades.

Okunbar to Walker trade last night. Semi regret trading Wadell last week, though it was done due to the leaking of $$$.

Second trade still up in the air. Target is Ma'u, though the Eels have been in horrible form. At present I need to trade Paperhuyzen or possible keeper to achieve this, so I'm still up in the air who gets the chop.
