Assuming Hately plays, one benefit he has for me is that even if he only plays this week and next he will be $50k more than Corbett, who was part of my trade plans.

It would be wasteful, but it could mean I could trade him out instead if he was dropped and actually be better off

I have the luxury of waiting to see if he's named tonight before I make my call. It'll be Libba > Hately if I do, and then fingers crossed Hore makes it in Monday

Need to decide between shifting Whitfield sideways, but not sure if I should move to Laird or Andrews for this week.

If there was a good chance you'd only have one of them which one would you go with?

Laird is the safer bet. I started Andrews and have been fairly happy apart from missing 2 games through injury. If you need/want a POD go with Andrews (2% of teams) otherwise Laird (37% of teams).

For eg. I had Laird as my D1 last year and has been in my DEF from the start of the season for the past 4 years.. he’s SC gold. This year the reason his output is a bit down is sharing the points with Smith. But I still reckon he’ll average 95-100 from here and will net you a solid 85-100 points a week..

Exactly what I'm considering. Laird is better for my bye structure, but Andrews is better value, a POD, and likely to go big against Carlton today.

Think I've settled on Laird though.

What's the situation with Dylan Moore from the Hawks. Is he likely to come back in at all?

I bit the bullet and went with Andrews as a POD. DEF line is current Lloyd, Williams, Andrews, BSmith, Moore and Duursma (Answerth, Burgess) but I'm looking to turn that into Lloyd, Sicily, Williams, Andrews, Ryan / Blakely and BSmith (Naish and Gardner or similar) by round 15. BSmith retained as a stepping stone to Hurn or Whitfield again later on.

Still may come out of round 14 (9 trades remaining) with an on-field MID rookie (but DEF and FWD lines will be finished with Grawndy at RUC) , so hopefully the SC gods smile on me and the rookies fatten up a bit more over the next few weeks so I can swing that last one-up, one down in week 15.

I'd love to here the following statement from Leon Cameron in the next 15 minutes.

'As such an important player to our team structures, ideally we would have given Toby Greene another few hours to see if he could come up for the game. But with another couple of games before ours, those with Supercoach teams out there really need to know about their own structures. As such, we are making the call right now and putting Hately in and pulling Greene out. Obviously we've been a little remiss with the transparency of our best 22 for much of the season and unreservedly apologies to the SC community and ask them to accept this small gesture as an our appreciation of their dedication to the game...'

At some stage he will get another chance this year. But probably not across the bye rounds unless Breust or Poppy or someone went down. Wingard to come back in also at some stage.

21 green lights this week, def loop on Answerth / Burgess, VC loop on Danger and only two donuts at M10 and F6. Whitfield out for Andrews, looking at Hately in for Watson if he is named.

Breakdown is DEF 4 + 3, MID 5 + 2 if Sloane plays - otherwise 4 + 2 (or 4 + 3 if Hately is named), RUC 1 + 1 and FWD 3 + 2.

Probably being a bit generous tagging players like Brayshaw, Heeney and Brodie Smith as premos but I'll try to be positive about it and hope they can each give the ton a nudge this week.

3/469 (Danger) so far, so this week could either go well or completely to ****.

Damn. Think I'll have to turf him, given the situation. Doesn't sound like he'll be worth the slow burn that might happen late in the season. Anyway, will see what happens. Thanks.
