I agree with what you are saying ........

but

that usually happens in games that are considered over, even at half time. This game is anything but over.

The points distributed were quite low at the time. Once a few other players started smashing out some stats in quick succession the scaling was corrected. I don't see a problem with it as long as its consistent, which it seems to be.
