Didn't get the memo on Ponga until too late, so copped Capewell's low minutes AE of 19. I would have taken To'o.

13 at this stage for round 16. Two trades to make it 15. Maybe a couple of nu*** who only play 16.

Burns looking like a keeper in the CTWs.

About 260 (rank of 2500ish) points off my goal of finishing top 500 and have banked on making my move this round with having 17 available to play. Most of the top 1000 will be fielding heavily depleted sides on field this week (top 50 teams have an average of 10.7 players), so huge ground can be made up this week if the right players fire.

How many players has everyone got for this weeks bye?

Here’s how my 17 is looking. Tomorrow’s line ups will determine what I do with Moses to complete my 17:

You're in a great position to move up @Lynchmond. As a first time player (among many at SCS) it will be interesting to see how you finish from here.

Love the Papenhuyzen and RTS FLB line.

Really hope Papenhuyzen somehow finds his way into the permanent fullback position beyond this week so I don’t have to get rid of him. Love watching him play purely as a fan, his great SC scoring is just a bonus.

How are you looking for numbers this week?

As I was suggestion/arguing last week, Papy should be the permanent Fullback if the Storm want to win the Premiership.

Given injuries, I can now get to 15. This will likely include trading in two playing nu*** to allow upgrades next round. Burns is looking like a keeper at CTW, which makes trading out a little easier. This will give me 8 trades thereafter.

Hughes named at fullback this week despite Munster being out with origin. How annoying. Papenhuyzen has basically been Melbournes best player every time he starts for Melbourne. Must be very frustrating for him.

Really good night with Latrell, Matterson and Marsters killing it.

520/9 with 7 to play including captain. Unfortunately Herbert who was named has been dropped so am fielding 16 instead of the full 17. Should make up a fair bit of ground if I nail my captaincy choice.

All out for 1030 pre updates.

Stoked my planning for this Bye has come off. Could have been in all sorts had I captained Shaun Johnson today like I was considering, however went with Payne Haas. Hopefully jump into the top 500.
massive effort

Was Johnson injured again or just ordinary ?

849 C Matterson with 13 playing in the end

Manu with the head knock was disappointing from a points and cash generation viewpoint. Shaun Johnson had a shocker.

He was rubbish. Ended up getting subbed off in the latter stages of the match. Doesn’t look good for him moving forward. Huge match for their club this week against Melbourne in CS9’s 400th. Hopefully gets the opportunity to redeem himself.

Some good scores in here- well done guys.
I gave this round away with only 10 players (3 being rookies).
Scraped 700 together with Latrell (c), Haas and Marsters carrying the side.

Was ranked in the 1800’s before this round but expect to drop a few ranks. Am in a good spot with my desired final team.

HOK: Cook (Fainu)
FRF: Fifita, Haas (AFB, Kerr)
2RF: JTrbo, Taumalolo, Taupau (Taukeiaho, Crichton, Tevaga)
HFB: Morgan (O’Sullivan)
5/8: Ponga (Hutchinson)
CTW: Latrell, Bateman, Marsters, Nikora (Xerri, W Hopoate, CNK)
FB: Tedesco (TTrbo)

Got 22 players I’d be happy to play in my 17 which is sure to cause plenty of headaches and heartbreak in the future.

Eventually will look to downgrading the weakest CTW’s to bring in Munster/Cleary types after origin.

Bye planning ended up working a treat scoring 1067 and moving into 560 in the rankings.

This week will be a bit of a headache in terms of who backs up from origin. Going to turn Papenhuyzen into Tedesco and possibly Moylan into DCE.

Unsure which move to prioritise between
A. Grabbing T Turbo to replace RTS
B. Selecting R Matterson to replace A Tolman (via D Finucane)
C. D Cherry-Evans to replace 1 of S Johnson/M Morgan

1254 C Lolo, who unfortunately lost a LB today on review.

Moved up to 8305 with 7 trades remaining. Brought in Cook and will be looking to do RTS > Turbo this week and probably Manu to a nuff to fund it and leave a $170K bank for future use.

Current Team:
Cook (Smith)
Lolo, Matterson, Ma'u (Nikora, Tevaga, Skaggs)
DCE (Morgan)
Ponga (SJ)
Mitchell, Bateman, Manu, Gutherson (Xerri, Burns, Capewell)
Teddy (RTS)

ITB $64,6000

1297 moved me into 350 bloody happy with that. Will be hard to move up any further, though I’ve got a few handy pods so am banking on them going large to continue my decent form.
