In recent times Australia seem to have a lot of batsmen who have a knack of getting out when looking good. SMarsh the absolute torchbearer for this but also Khawaja, Harris (over summer) and now Head.

Is this just because they are not quite good enough or is there more to it?

Ahhh gutted for king Wade. Batting as a collective unit has been woeful. Geeze this is going to be a painful series to watch if we can expect batting performances like this on a regular basis.

We’re about 30-40 runs ahead of where I thought we’d be at 5 wickets down. We have a good recent history of our tail pulling us out of the proverbial, so wouldn’t be surprised if we manage 250+ from here. Our bowlers will defend that I believe.

Don't forget Burns , Roy , Denly not exactly a feared threesome.

Could come down to who makes more runs between Smith & Root.

Don't think Buttler , Stokes , Bairstow , Ali batting record against us is anything too special over the years.

I think our batting was always going to be the problem , very reliant on Smudge.

Fortunately England have issues with their batting too.

Could well be a 275-300 runs each Innings per series.
