Score: 2429
Overall Rank: 72,976 (from 77,787)
Heroes: Dunkley, Zorko , Sicily, Pendelbury, Cripps , Darling, Goldstein, Stewart, Heeney
Villians: Brayshaw, Gray, tarnato , Crips, Westhoff, Mumford

Comments: Finally after 21 weeks I get something half decent to be happy about.

Some Randoms:

Goldstein is currently 8th on aggregate for the season , pity about Grundy & Gawn.
Jack Darling has average 105.21 in his last 14 games including a 83, 75, 71 , 69 & 42.
Darcy Byrne-Jones (who ???) has gone 103.16 in his last 12, was $ 355, 700 at some stage.
Jarrod Lyons 128.0 last 5 (4th best) & 116.5 from his last 8.

I am sure there are others that have completely slipped under the radar.

Congrats to @Ironhawk who continues to post each week his review, hat's off

Heroes: Fyfe, Cripps, Dramafield, Sic Dog in the snow, Treloar, Macrae, Houli, zmerrett, Dunkley, GREENE
Villains: hurn and for the second week in a row, Munday, bloody Munday.
Trades: yeah one injury trade left, but hopefully wheeling out Jelly from the bench. Rocky +18.2k to a forward? I'm open to suggestions.
Comments: made finals in 6/7 leagues including 2/3 cash leagues. Still in it for all of those, so still rather interested.

Any opinions on Mundy for the final two rounds? To say it politely I'm a little concerned.

Guns and rookies next year again, loved the change from being a die hard mid priced madness disciple.
interesting because Houli, Zac Attack, Newman, Marshall & Worpel would be 5 mid pricers that could be counted as a success, I guess it is a matter of getting the right ones

With a lot of these guys success depends when you traded then in or started them really and how there rolling averages affected your position over the year

Its all about timing.

Trades Used: Logue > Carter; Brayshaw > Yeo
Trades Planned: Empty Tank
Comments: I used my last 2 trades to bring in Yeo for Brayshaw. Was it a good move given that Sloane may now be out in Rd22? I have good rookie bench cover. I've looked at a number of scenarios and it is difficult to be confident that a particular option was correct. The decision was made so let's see how it plays out.

Zac Attack & Worpel probably could be considered good starting picks,
Hell I'd take the round 1 donut to start Marshall!!!!
Zwilliams yeah, but early on I did enjoy his missed game and less than stalla avg. Worpel, not a good starting pick for mine.

Moore, rookie priced, yes just.

Witherden. No. Mills no.
Rocky, Libba, sheed, o'meara, Steele, no great picks
Rucks, lycett and Westhoff nup
Forwards, worpel (I dont agree, although in good form atm), same with greene. Billings? Dahlhouse, gray, wallis (expensive) no thanks!

Houli has been around the mark for a while, known quantity there...not sure he qualifies as mid priced... more fallen premo, kinda like zac.

Newman yep. Brouch, kinda just as well.

Point is beyond a couple of fallen promos and a lucky 150 from libba which did make it feasible to profit from him, there was a big list of list cloggers on each line. I went through markM's list to identify who people thought would be good midpricers here:

GnR all the way.

As someone who tried starting a lot of mid priced players this year - I agree. You need to get very lucky for it to pay off.

fair enough , each to there own , guess it comes down to what people see as mid price or a fallen premium.

Houli's starting price was actually cheaper than Williams.

Houli has had one season of 95+ so not sure he is a fallen premium , Williams had never achieved that figure.

Doubt anyone at all have Marshall any thought about starting.

Worpel is currently 9th on aggregate for points for Forward eligible players , certainly would be a worthwhile starting pick imo

GnR is probably still the best way to go provided enough rookies are available in Round 1.

Let's see what 2020 brings.

Yeah, it's funny there were a bunch of mids circa $550k that were almost a mid priced strategy (taranto, steele, hopper, brashaw, Sloane, Zmerrett) c/f the $600k+ monsters... not easy to define... but what is clear there isn't much in that 250-400k price range worth starting. A couple of $400k+ ones but not very bloody many. Pick one at your peril.

It will be interesting to see if Worpel is a legit mid premo next season. 5 round avg of 119, but Titch to return.

Worpel 88 avg prior to R17, hence not great starting pick imo, as the poor scores came in combo with rookie scores, really want your premos producing early, before others can join in, similarly why you make an argument Macrae is a good/bad starting pick. Overall avg great, but starting Neale would have been better.

Be interesting to see the hindsight team post at the end of the season whereby it is 5000+ ahead of the winning team and has made no trades at all , and we all scratch our heads ?

Picking Sloane from the start over Brayshaw/Merrett/Steele , I got correct but now Merrett has scored more points overall so who knows

Worpel & Wingard will both be interesting next season with Titch back & the arrival of Cogs.

Biggest mistake I made this year was not starting Gawn & Grundy + Lloyd (although now he has the Dawson factor).

Not long before the research and hope begins again

Comments: First time into the top 5k for the year, my lads finally influence MarkM's stats.

This was one of the very rare weeks where being a Boak non-owner was a good thing. He and Marshall my two big misses for the year.

One trade left...be waiting to see whether Sloane gets up. Good luck to all those in prelims this weekend.

Comments: Have still continued my streak of going up in the rankings every round since round 6! Two more to go! Cameron continues to be the thorn in my side that’s stopped me from going really big but it is hard to get them all right. Still have trades so hoping that helps me manage any carnage on the run home. Good luck to all in the SC finals (except to my opponents in the SCS PL and cash leagues :p)
