they conveniently missed out that Carlton is his preferred destination ?

could say no and make him play out his contract , which Papley and his manager are aware of
He'll be a big loss for Sydney... and a really good fit for the Blues I reckon

If they trade him

Think Carlton have been linked to Betts Gray , Martin , Papley + Elliott likely so will wait and see how it all pans out.

Reasonable player

It all depends on Daniher I suppose, if he stays, then Papley stays. As per @Spots he is a great fit for the Blues and plugs one of many holes we have.
True I guess the Swans need to work out what Carlton is willing to give up , then what they need to give to Essendon to get Daniher and whoever else is on their radar (Darcy Moore talk earlier) and whoever else they are linked to.

Big game of dominoes.

Would probably be trying to get Martin first of all the small forwards they have been publically linked too.

Love to see inside the list management's offices and what is on their whiteboards , probably 500 players and arrows going left , right and centre.

Crazy days ahead for the next week or so.

Apparently this is one suggestion.
