Yeah that’s what I thought! Just 9 years after they got draft picks served up on a silver platter they get this!
If only they could workout how to hold them.

18 yo's on the Gold Coast for 2 years with money in their pockets , one hell of a schoolies week.

Prefer Anderson at the Suns for SC rather than at Melbourne.

They will both last 2 seasons up their then be on the move.

Looks alright for Essendon if Daniher is still struggling to get back on the park.

Too hard to tell how good are draft pick is going to be though.

Is this year another Superdraft or just Rowell & Anderson + the GWS academy and the man child from Glenelg ?
The fact Daniher hasn't been on the park will be a win for the Bombers, they can bring back Jenkins who left the club years ago.

Depending on which report you read JJ is going to Essendon , Collingwood or Geelong so who knows.

So many "fake" rumours/stories going around , better off coming back in 2 weeks time when everything is officially done.

Have fun keeping up to all the stuff on twitter.

There is a lot of bad that the AFL has given the under-performing GCS, but the worst in my eyes is the pre-signing of academy players, followed by the Darwin region.

Imagine if GCS have an academy pick like Bowes, who was a top 10 talent and being able to sign him pre-draft, and instead of using a draft picks and points, and are then able to use those picks in going after other players. Essentially, they a free top 10 talent and possibly another 2-3 players in the top 30 as well. Ridiculous.

I would prefer to see concessions that are going to have an immediate impact on the clubs performances... by the time they start to see improvement from these, players will be looking to leave again.

Yep, Should have been allowed things like more development coaches, more money to lure the top development coaches. Longer rookie contracts to keep the good kids at the club for up to say 4 years. Some extra salary cap as well with the condition it is used on mature aged players of a certain age... So they could lure a few Hodge type players to immediately help on field.

All those would have immediately helped the club onfield without compromising the other 17 clubs.

With regard to the signing of players from Darwin, I'd be happy for GC to recruit. We know they have issues keeping players, but there wouldn't be too much go home factor if coming from Darwin.

GC now getting Rowell and Anderson, almost surely picking up Ellis and Greenwood in the trade period - that's a good start to their list rebuild. Fairly sure they are rumoured to be after a few others too in the trade period. (Edit: Zac Smith one that is possible according to SEN just now)

Wonder if the AFL will be as generous with the next struggling club if they are one of the more established clubs. Highly doubt it.

The only fair deal in that structure is Carltons.
Syd are getting screwed, and won’t accept it. Ess are saying yes please how soon can we do this?
I would question the sanity of our player management group if they gave up 2019 picks 4 & 8 for a guy who cannot get on the park. The only interest would be the contest with Rampe for worst pornstar moustache.

How many will stay at the "GCS" when they announce the relocation of the club to Tassie?
