Geelong would bloody take Robertson just to troll the Eagles.... Make us trade a bounty for him in a few years time.
If we want any of the top 30 we're gonna have to trade for them regardless... Geelong for all their bluster in the Kelly trade did get all of our early picks but they weren't great picks anyway.. I do hope they don't pick up a star player because of their hypocrisy but even if they do, it doesn't help them in the now

At my daughter's graduation on my phone waiting for the Blues to pick someone lol

Have done well out of it after missing out on their targets
I have to wait forever for West Coast to finally get into the draft... but we did get our Christmas present early in Tim Kelly and he’s looking great at trading so far, so really happy with that.

Deal by Blues with GC may have been payback for Martin deal, also there were a few sliders, nice to get Kemp and Philps write up appears ok, seems to play mid and forward and is quite tenacious with good kicking skills.

Watched a lot of under 18 footy this year, my two main takeaways...

1. How Devon Robertson is still on the board is absolutely beyond me.
2. Richmond taking Thomson Dow in the first round is a huge surprise.

Oh and from a Hawks perspective, shattered we passed on Kemp (and Robertson) :(
I'm hoping we make a play for Robertson and Gould tomorrow, quite an advantage having the first pick and all night to try and get the most out of it through some crafty pick swaps. Robertson going later than 12 is absolutely remarkable.

So despite probably not being your choice of who to select, is Will Day a good selection by the Hawks or not?

From what I have read about him and the very little I have seen, he seems like he could be a decent player once he puts on a bit more weight (70 kg is not really enough for AFL footy, especially at 187 cm) - high disposal efficiency and seems to be a good mark from highlights I have seen. Doubt he will get a lot of senior footy in 2020 unless we get hit by injuries again, maybe a few games later in the season if he can bulk up a bit.

I haven't seen any games from any of those in the draft, so can't really comment as to who they should have chosen. It is nice to be able to bring in a player who could hit the field straight away, but generally I would rather see any youngsters have a bit of time with Box Hill, get them used to things in the AFL system before blooding them. Think it's better for them overall that way.
