overall rank: 47
starters: roberson, creek, drmic, pineau, johnson, long
bench: hampton, deric, louzada, noi, majok
trades out: mccarron, bogut
trades in: creek, johnson

+ creek captain
+ noi 63 points. starter this round.
+ drmic 75 points. always risky with drmic especially with adelaide being an equal opportunity team.
+ hampton 49k cash decrease. expected the full 100k decrease after 0 points last game.
- roberson 50 points + 68k cash decrease. thank you for the 40.56 average and 420k increase. :)
- majok majok 19 points in past 3 games + 32k cash decrease. limited game time. looking to do a trade out next round with melbourne the only team on the double. finn delany?

dreading selecting the captain for this upcoming round. machado vs oliver vs johnson vs patterson. take a pick. will take a closer look into it in the next couple of days.

round 7
score: 582
overall rank: 54
starters: norton, creek, drmic, pineau, johnson, long
bench: ball, deric, louzada, Deng, Magnay
trades out: Hampton, Webster
trades in: creek, norton

was looking at a few options including bringing in Randle, ultimately chose to keep Ball as he's generating cash and trade in the best available for RJ and chose Norton over Dech which hurts. Silly move, those are the small moves you need to get right.

Interesting round pre the Melb Utd double next week and some new teams commencing a double run. Tough round for Captain, plenty of choices. I'm looking at trading Didi and Norton to Dech and Sobey. 4 starters + 2 bench on the double.

Ball
Sobey
Drmic
Long
DJ
Deng

Dech
Djeric
Creek
Pineau

round 7
score: 593
overall rank: 111
starters: Hampton, Cotton, Creek C, Griffin, Long, Pineau
bench: Bruce, Goulding, Noi, Deng, Magnay
trades out: Bogut, Moller
trades in: creek, Magnay

Trades planned for rd 8 are Long to Oliver and Bruce to Machado.

Was a choice between Long and Creek as a trade out. I think Long has a few niggles and Creek much more likely to make $$$$$.

Team rd 8 likely to be.

Machado
Cotton
Noi
Griffin
Oliver
Creek.

Hampton
Goulding
Steindl
Pineau
Magnay

Struggling with cap as I missed the Webster, Ashley cash cows.

Decent round but not great. Moved up the one spot to 40th overall but have a really poor cap so I'm in a fair bit of trouble. As a result of Bogut & kay shedding lots of $$$ over the last few weeks, and Rice Jr's suspension... I now can't do my planned trades for the week.

A bit unsure of what to do this week now. Rice Jr has really messed things up as I was expecting some good points and price rises that won't come now.

It's there in the post...

On-field: Hampton, Drmic, Creek (C), Kay, Long, Pineau
Bench: Bruce, Djeric, Rice Jr, Noi, JLA

So this week before trades....

Long
Kay (Will Be Traded to Oliver)
Creek
Drmic
Hampton
Noi

JLA
Pineau
Rice Jr
Djeric
Bruce

Original plan was Creek & Kay to Oliver & Machado.

However Rice Jr has to go as he's not making money or points, Long also looks injured and not scoring his monster scores... and shedding cash too, but is needed next week. Creek was planned to go straight back out this week, but he made 100k last week and should do again this week and I desperately need the cash.

Kay is definitely gone for Oliver, But have to work out what to do with the second trade

i would stick with your original trade plans if it is the only way you can bring in machado and oliver without trading out long as:
. you can set and forget machado and oliver for the next 4 rounds
. you cover as many choices for captain as possible for this round if you do not select the right captain.
. long is needed next week for captain as his scoring can be explosive.
. creek has no doubles the next 3 rounds. also plays sydney, perth at home and brisbane away.
. bench donut for 1 round is not that fatal with only 50% points. perfect opportunity next round to trade out rice jr with only melbourne on the double. hopson?

Whoops, didn’t notice it upon 1st glance. Good luck with your selections and hopefully you can make a run at the top 10-20.

After much thought and debate... I ended up going Kay & Hampton to Oliver & Randle this week. Deciding to keep Creek, and pass on Machado. Hopefully Randle can match Machado for the round, 38 tonight was a pretty good start. Also really happy with Drmic's 49.

Set a plan for the next few weeks that will see me taking a decent risk next week but hopefully could get me back on track.

round 8
score: 601
overall rank: 63
starters: machado, drmic, noi, oliver (c), johnson, long
bench: hampton, deric, louzada, pineau, majok
trades out: roberson, creek
trades in: machado, oliver
considered: hampton out, patterson in

dreaded selecting the captain and it showed in the results :ROFLMAO:. my original plan for this upcoming round was to trade out drmic (likely end of cash increase and playing perth in perth on the rebound) and johnson for mccarron and trimble but will now reconsider after everything that had unfolded.

I've been on a slide. R7 Rice Jr donut and I had him starting. This round see below ..

R8 Score: 531
Rd Rank: 1,798
Overall Rank: 352
On-field: Machado, Creek, Noi, Long, Oliver C, Magnay,
Bench: Hampton, Djeric, Braun, Ashley, Pineau
Trades made: Roberson/Rice Jr --> Machado/Braun

Many problems - Creek and Long on a single 53 between them. Went the C on Oliver and lost 70 points v Machado (at least I had him). Magnay 37 points over 2 games. Djeric DNP for 2 games. NO BALL!

Ball is the highest averaging player in the comp. At the start of the year the Basketball Blokes called it that the teams were structured around small ball and so we might expect the PF and C big guns to come off a bit and that PGs and SFs might step up. After R8 we have the 5 averaging players as follows:

Ball PG 53.6
Long PF 53.2
Creek SF 52.8
Machado PG 49.5
Bogut C 47.7
Kay PF 44.8

Bogut and Kay are averaging almist the same as Patterson, Trimble, McCarron, Roberson, Cotton. Last year there was a big gap between Kay/Long/Bogut and the rest.

Do we just get Ball in and be done with it? We being those suffering without him like me.

trimble on a double vs ball

trimble:
extra double before round 13 where every team is on the double. 2 vs 1.
earlier doubles.
shea ili out for this round.

42.27 season average.
1.63m price. likely to stay around 1.6m.
scores above 50 in 2 games. no double double, closest was round 1 vs SEM with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
two away games for a double this round.

ball:
53.55 season average. 68.25 average after brooks injury excluding overtime points.
1.65m price. likely to rise up to 2m.
scores above 50 in 5 games. triple double 1 game, one rebound/assist away from a double double in 3 games.

could leave during the season.

seriously considering going against my fantasy philosophy in maximising doubles :cry: as i might not be able to afford ball during illawarra's next run of doubles and will also be a great trade out later in the season.

any thoughts on who i should trade in would be appreciated.
