Don’t forget Pittard.
To be fair, you guys seem to have drafted fairly well with your early picks recently. Tarryn Thomas looks very comfortable at the level, Simpkin is a beast and LDU is progressing alright. Haven't seen enough of Hosie to comment yet.

Sicily replacement:

Saad vs Haynes v Rampe v May
Haynes is my pick, even at the highest price.
Only 2 bad scores all year and consistently cracking a ton, think he’s a more like for like replacement.

If cash is an issue I like Saad, similar to Haynes just a level below. Rampe seems like the riskiest option, boom or bust. If that’s your style, he could be a good (or bad) punt.

Not sure if this is the best spot to post it, but it is an x vs y. What combo scores more over round 13/14.

NicNat (2 scores) + Walters (1 score - round 14) + Close/Reid loop (1 score - round 13)
vs
Walters (2 scores) + Rankine/Draper loop (2 scores)

Edit: Walters would be my 19th premium for round 14 in option 1, 18th premium in option 2. Wingard, Doc and Simpkin probably my weakest premos that week.

I am guessing you are trying to work out whether you get Walters this round or next?

If so it looks like it is basically comparing NN And Close/Reid to Walters and Draper/Rankine this round, then it will be NN v Draper/Rankine ongoing. Seems heavily biased to the NN option after this round, enough to easily sway it over the second option which seems slightly better this round.

Thanks for the response, it’s a good point that for the long term NicNat is the way to go.

Unfortunately I did the math wrong, and I won’t be able to get to Walters next week. But I’m still leaning to NicNat as a path to Gawn and for my cash flow to complete my team. Can target Walters in rd15 and I’ll still have 18 premos next week.

For last 3 positions in my team which looks better?

Danger + Walters + Blakely
vs
Parker + Wingard? + ZWilliams

A close call overall and in a number of individual respects, in my view.

With best 18 rounds ahead I would favour players with ceiling, so option 1 narrowly for me.

Yeah that's what I am thinking. Even considering bringing in even more "compromised" players knowing that if they have a bad score on one of the best 18 weeks they won't get counted anyway.

Angus Brayshaw is calling out to me

For starters, not Wingard. Avoid any Hawks players except maybe Titch from here on. Maybe someone like Parish if you have slightly more or Simpkin if you don't have him may be better alternatives?

Danger v Parker is close, slight edge to Danger for me.

Walters I would put a bit above Williams, but with 6 games left, shouldn't be much difference there.

To me it comes down to Blakely v your question mark player. Can they make up enough over Blakely to make option 2 preferable? Probably not - forwards are tough to select this year once you drop into the sub 500K players. Option 1 for me.

Sicily & Serong are the likely 2 on the chopping block for me in R13 with $1,113,500 for their replacements. My preference is for players who've already had their bye. Below are my 2 leading combinations at the moment...

Ryan & Parker v Haynes & Fyfe

D: Lloyd, Sicily, Ridley, Stewart, Docherty, BWilliams [Williamson, Rivers]
M: Neale, Oliver, Titch, Bont, Danger, Steele, Cripps, Serong [Schoenberg, Bytel, Sharp]
R: Grundy, Draper [Strachan]
F: Whitfield, Dusty, Petracca, BSmith, Simpkin, Ryder [Rankine, Sturt]

Other suggestions for me to consider are most welcomed.

I'll have 8 trades left after the above with only Draper to upgrade. Williamson & Rankine downgrades should allow me to turn Draper to any RUCK for R15, leaving 5 'luxury' trades for the remaining 3 rounds.

Have you considered Sicily > Zac Williams ( 487K, had the bye) Serong > Fyfe (581K) ?

Williams averaged 101.6 last year, had 3 x 100's since returning from injury & has had his bye.

Great team Thanh. I'm assuming your focus is leagues so nice plan with 5 trades left.
Sydney tagged Haynes didn't they? Do they tag Ryan? If you are safe in leagues could you wait a week and do these before round 14?

You are in far better shape than me, with the second best score on the site last round, so feel free to ignore my suggestions here and go with your own decision.

Your two outs are two I need to replace as well, although I'm tossing up whether to replace Serong this week or next. Personally, I prefer your second combination of the two in terms of scoring, but both are good options.

Parker has been significantly under selected the last two years. Currently the 16th best averaging mid, (6th best bye free), he is still in less than 5K teams. He has been good for me since I picked him up a few weeks back. Ryan is the 2nd best averaging defender (excl Howe), just ahead of Haynes and is in just over 6K teams. It looks like he has been scoring better in Perth, so his scores may drop off a bit on the run home. Haynes has just had his worst score but has been a consistent 110 scorer. Fyfe is Fyfe - you know the risks selecting him, but is scoring well even when spending too much time forward.

Haynes and Fyfe do have a slightly better combined average (mainly due to two down games from Parker), but are much more popular - over 25K and 37K teams respectively. Up to you if you go with the crowd or go the POD as to the best option - pick the ones you expect to score better I say, and just hope they don't get rested.

not worried about the discrepancy in Ryan's H & A scores ? (although he did score 100+ in his last 2 at Metricon)

Zac Williams , Saad , Day possible alternatives

Parker 110% lockity lock all day every day ✓

great looking team and rank , even with BWilliams & Simpkin

Also fielding 2 of Draper , Rankine , Ryder

certainly highlights to me how vital it is to get most of the top liners even though you only have 4 of the Alphabet 5.

great lessons there

How long have you had Steele for ? suspect he is a massive POD

but no Big O 😢

Interesting I have had read different reports on Haynes last week whether they did tag him or , or he was playing a more lockdown role with Davis out.

Didn't watch the game or listen on the radio so just basing it on what I read.

Watched the game & 100% Sydney sent Will Hayward to him as a fwd tag. Hayward sacrificed his own game to play a purely defensive role on Haynes which worked very well.
