Don't want to confuse you but I would go Greene due to Walters' role uncertainty. If he stays locked in the forward line like last week, he will prove a poor pick. Greene's role is unlikely to change, he should go well.

Looking at sub-$450K defenders? I started with B. Williams from the dogs and he has been good, especially the last few weeks, he still has the bye to come as the only downside. Not many good options that have had their bye unfortunately.

I prefer May as the safer option to go 85-90 from here. Blakely seemed to be lifting his scoring a bit in his last game, but is still a risky pick with a current average below 70. Could work for you if he is improving, as he probably has a slightly higher ceiling, and is a cheaper option.

Yeah, need a cheapie. Cheers mate! I am thinking May is the safe option for sure. Has been very consistent in that 90 - 100 range. If I knew for sure Blakely would increase his TOG from the current 55 - 60%, I would take him in a heartbeat.

Have you looked or considered Brad Sheppard at similar price point...?
  • No role uncertainty
  • More proven
  • Hasn't miss a game in over 5 years

I noticed he had 13 or less disposals for 3 games in a row recently. Rounds 8 to 11. He has gone 15+ disposals in 7/8 of his other games this year. He either played poorly 3 weeks in a row or something changed for those games. Thanks for the suggestion!

He was one I considered recommending, but 3 scores in the 60's plus 2 80 scores from 11 games is probably a bit below what you want from a defender at this stage. He was one I looked at last week as a Hurn replacement - seemed like a slight upgrade at best. Not the worst option though.

Fyfe vs Parker for M8.

Neale, Oliver, Titch, Zerrett, Danger, Duncan and Cripps my others.
I want a bye free mid.

I would usually go Parker as less injury prone but with the best 18 scoring coming up I like Fyfe's higher ceiling.

Thanks CC

Titch vs parker plus the change?

Still have rookies at d6 m8 f6. Bench making very little including 4 likely just dead wood.

Might be the time to punt on Fyfe. If he stays fit you would expect he should score higher. Maybe ensure you hold a trade just in case.

I am in a similar spot, struggling to get enough cash for my last few replacement players. 3 best 18 rounds to come means 22 premiums are not vital.

Go Titch for the better points and look at a sideways of premiums on a bye to a cheaper bye free player in a week or two to free up some cash for the last upgrades you need. If you think you still won't get enough cash by doing this, go for Parker.

Saad vs Z Williams, please and thank you!
Tough call. I picked up Zac last week and was happy with his game, Saad is one of 3 I am deciding between as my Sicily replacement. Williams more injury prone which has put some off him, if that doesn't worry you, he has a higher ceiling than Saad Why I is very consistent. I would give the edge to Williams, just.
