I ended up taking the conservative approach this week.

Had I gone through with my planned trades of Georgiades to Walters funded by ITB cash and Neale to Jelly I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be happy πŸ˜‰

Just 1 trade (leaving 5 instead of 6), Georgiades to Jack Martin, gives me 21 inc. Cameron in R2 (only on-field rookie).

Hopefully in the long run it works out for the better.

True, lots trying something different in a mixed up season I goes.

Just out of interest which group are you in after your treatment of Lachie this week πŸ˜‰.
Yes, I traded Lachie, but that was to fill the holes in my forward line, I was a bit late upgrading and missed the boat. Spent the last bye rounds sideways trading which stunted my team growth. My main goal is overall, and finish as best as I can. League wins would be nice, but, I haven't set up my team that way. You can also see by my captain choices, they're not safe bets all the time and lead to my downfall. πŸ˜‚

My Blakey experiment looks a fail so thinking:
Blakey, Jelly and Draper out
Rookie, JPK and Gawn in
Would prefer to hold Jelly if it's only 1 week but I need to find the $150k somewhere to get Draper to Gawn.
That will leave me with 0 trades and Riccardi as my F6. Not ideal but so be it.
Undoubtedly not saving any trades will end badly for me but will kinda be happy to not have to think about SC anymore this season

Please. I don't want to be the one to start it two years running.

I'm probably not going to be far behind, as I haven't been able to save trades myself yet. 3 trades left, 7 of my main 22 with a bye, I should probably make 3 sideways trades, but I don't really want to.

NN> Gawn
Stewart > Haynes

Im pretty set on doing this if NN is rested but I also feel like I really would rather have Stewart instead of Haynes after R15, he's been more consistent within games and watching Haynes's games there's periods where he is on very few points and it makes me nervous that he could have a bad Sicily-eque game soon and that game could be next week. Nevertheless it's the right move as I'll get an extra premium score next week and an extra player on field (looks like I'm fielding 21 atm if Rivers keeps his spot) and I'll need the extra 15k from the trade as I'm about 5k short of doing NN to Gawn on it's own.

It also means I have ZWilliams and Haynes, as well as Whitfield, so a lot of GWS defenders and perhaps too many.

Either 2 or 3 trades this week. Lots of options in play and will need to see Round 15 prices and some teams before starting to whittle them down.

The Bont or Kelly to Neale is locked in. Stewart or B Smith are others who may get traded out depending on what trade in options fit my budget.

Gawn back in for Round 16 is tempting but it could be tough getting the dollars and trades to work with other problems elsewhere.

I think i have changed my mind already.

NN -> Gawn
Close -> Kennedy
Wicks -> (Dow / 102 m/f) or possibly Rivers -> Butts

I’m going to be slingshotting 2 of Bont, Macrae and Duncan.

How would I find their averages against their last 3 opponents?

Just a general comment, I see a lot of slingshot trades and whilst I'm not against it as a practice, does the fact that 'best 18' reduce the value of the 'slingshot'

I agree that if you are going into the next 2 rounds with less than say 16 premiums the value if you can get say the slingshot and say 1/2 an upgrade or at least some cash benefit towards future trades, it may be worth it.

But if you're going Macrae to Neale to get 18 premiums up to 19 or the like is it really worth it?

I'm not trying to persuade anybody any way, just asking the question. If you have plenty of trades ot might be, but if not surely an extra trade in the last 2 weeks might be worth more than the 30-40 points you might gain this week or next?
