Strategy Round 15: Trades

I'm thinking that Daniher will be rested (we'll find out later today whatever), but in a similar spirit I think I might trade in 328k/BE 45 Jeremy Cameron (from LDU netting me 50ishk)

GWS run home - Carl, Adel, Melb, StK.

Assuming J Kelly doesn't play, this would leave me 20 this week pre selection headaches. And then leave me 4 trades.

I think I got confused and assumed he'd also been off the ground late in the game, he actually spent the entire game on the ground. It's been a strange season

Really struggling to come up with any trades that can move me up the rankings and separate me from the pack. I am 27th overall at the moment and feel that I might just creep up a few spots and end up 15 to 20th. Great result that I would have taken at the start of the year but when you are within touching distance you really want to go for it.

I have 6 trades and 148K in the bank. I know some people prefer to keep trades a secret but if anyone is basing their trades on what I am doing they are nuts.

Would love for anyone to throw some suggestions at me. I love a POD so will consider anything. Sometimes it is good to get other views to start you thinking in another direction.

I am 99% certain that I am trading Kelly (for the second time this year). Other than that I am open minded

Definitely try to get Neale and Gawn this week. Both have had a break and have opponents they could go large against with a nice vc on Gawn. McPherson down for cash.

The easy answer is pick the players you don't want that everyone else has (Neale probably Gawn), trade into someone that can go 150 plus and hope for the best.
hope you VC / Captain choices are good and everyone else's fail.

Obviously you need a F6 by the second last round but that can wait I guess

Prefer not to either but after a shocker last Rd lost 8 out of 10 finals now ranked 1,032 could be a bit of a chance to get a good ranking finish. Not much else to play for. Making 3 trades still leaves 3 remaining.

Yeah, I know. Really depends on how GWS shapes up for the run home, and also if Riccardi is a viable option to take some of the attention of the defence.

Jelly and Duncan to JPK and JMartin

Draper and Dusty to Macrae and Gawn.

Out - Billings, Brander, Woodcock
In - Mundy, Zorko, Gould

Could have had a high profile mid, but elected for next step down. Fyfe being sacrificed as a mid/fwd and getting tagged, Mundy playing well atm, won't get tagged, Zorko same reason, Neale to get the tag, Zorko to run rampant. Expecting Gould in at some stage. Have $120k itb

Would love to hear anyones thoughts on if I could do something differently?

So I am mainly focusing on leagues from here although a top 1k finish would be nice so keeping one eye on that. Currently 1600th. I have won through to Prelim in all but one final which I got knocked out. So I have two weeks to get my team ready for next match in which I want Neale and Gawn after not owning them all season.

bsmith -> brayshaw(sacrifice smith or simpkin, smith has more money and bigger breakeven)
close -> rookie
Rnd 16
short -> laird (or daniel/haynes)
wicks -> rookie
Rnd 17
Draper -> Gawn
Worst premo mid -> Neale

Its all about getting Neale and Gawn for my prelim. Neale will have had 2 big price drops by Rnd 17 and hopefully Draper has 2 nice price jumps by then otherwise I would get them earlier if going for overall. Leaves me with 2 trades to play with for anything that may arise but also Hurn and Dev smith on field. Might need to cull rivers/schoenberg in Rnd 16 too if not enough cash.

Would love to hear opinions, even if its just about 1 part and not the whole lot, thanks
