With just 5 trades left and a full premo team, I'm not too sure on where to go this week. Through to the prelims in my cash league, sitting around 800th overall. Aiming for a top 500 finish but the main priority is winning the league.

Would love some opinions on my team, I'm a bit stuck on how I should play the next few weeks. Looking very weak for this bye round (18 playing before trades) so my initial thoughts were Jelly and Simpkin/BSmith out, but now I'm wondering whether my trades could be better spent elsewhere?

great team! with only 5 trades and wanting to do well in Prelim it would be tempting to do not much this week. Parker is a concern but hard to do much at that price other than JPK maybe? but prob just as much chance of JPK doing worse as long as Parker isnt rested forward every week. Jelly should be fully firing for your Prelim

My thoughts are that I wish I had your team with 5 trades left! I think Jelly and one of Simpkin/B Smith is what I would look at too if I was in your shoes.

9 trades left with 266k in the bank
Would love to hear anyones thoughts on if I could do something differently?

So I am mainly focusing on leagues from here although a top 1k finish would be nice so keeping one eye on that. Currently 1600th. I have won through to Prelim in all but one final which I got knocked out. So I have two weeks to get my team ready for next match in which I want Neale and Gawn after not owning them all season.

Rnd 15
duncan -> JPK (cash grab)
bsmith -> brayshaw(sacrifice smith or simpkin, smith has more money and bigger breakeven)
close -> rookie
Rnd 16
short -> laird (or daniel/haynes)
wicks -> rookie
Rnd 17
Draper -> Gawn
Worst premo mid -> Neale

Its all about getting Neale and Gawn for my prelim. Neale will have had 2 big price drops by Rnd 17 and hopefully Draper has 2 nice price jumps by then otherwise I would get them earlier if going for overall. Leaves me with 2 trades to play with for anything that may arise but also Hurn and Dev smith on field. Might need to cull rivers/schoenberg in Rnd 16 too if not enough cash.

Would love to hear opinions, even if its just about 1 part and not the whole lot, thanks

I like your plans, the only thing I could suggest is that you could perhaps avoid the Bsmith to Brayshaw trade this week, saving you some cash and a trade.

This would mean you'd be almost completely league focused though, so I guess it just depends how much you care about overall.

The rest of the plan looks good, if you are interested in overall it could be worth looking into getting Neale/Gawn a week or two early, as although you'll be spending a bit more you'll be getting the points on the field.

2 upgrades for a full team and 4 trades left :eek:

Macrae and Rankine to Gaff and Coniglio is where I am at. .....I quite like the idea of Matt Crouch over Gaff but don't have the $$

I will then save my last 2 trades for a final upgrade ahead of the return to 22 on field - barring LTI to one of my guns of course

Anyone have any thoughts on a cheap KPF to give the last few rounds a go? I'm looking at Jeremy Cameron given the GWS run, but of course the very rough can come with the smooth. I'm intrigued by the idea that Cameron has to average 103 for the next 4 games to hit an 80 average for the season...

I only have $ 325k and looking for a forward or mid. I have had a look at Jeremy Cameron and Mitch Robinson, but is there a cheaper, more reliable choice out there?

Looking for someone who won't break the bank but also can score?

5 trades left.
This round could be anything from zero trades to three trades with three being the least likely option.

$1,057,300 to spend on a mid and forward. Currently have Zerrett and Toby Greene pencilled in! Don't need to play safe and I like their ceilings. Any other suggestions?

the only players that come to mind at that price that have a highish ceiling similar to him are rozee and butler but I would take cameron over those two I think

I think Jeremy Cameron or Joe Daniher would be your best bets, if that's what you are after.

Riccardi looks a good choice. $173,300 for scores of 82 and 94 in the last two rounds.

Wingard. :LOL:
Surprised he got past the swear filter!
How cheap?
Daniher the obvious one with the risk of a rest.
Gunston against Adelaide might go well this week.
Cameron is as good a punt as any of them.
