Only if you need to free up cash. How much are you expecting him to score? How many are you fielding this week?
Team as it stands below. I am resigned to the fact I probably can't get both Gawn and Neale back, only one I think. So will end the year with a premo short or can strive for value picks. Jelly and Ryan worries as well this week.

Overall main priority.

I would try to get to full premium as soon as possible and would also put a real focus on winning those round 16 finals too.

You have so many trades so I would look to trade out your two players with the round 16 bye at the start of that round.

So the three players I would look to trade this round are Thurlow, Bell and Close. I would look to bring in a value defender premium, a value mid premium and a rookie. Perhaps Haynes and JPK? Then rookie wise there’s Dow or Williams who are dirt cheap or could still get one of O’Neill or Mosquito for 150k. Or the ideal one would be Riccardi at 173k. Not sure whether you can fit him in with JPK and Haynes though?

Round 16 I would give some serious thought to trading Dusty, Grundy and rookie to a mid premium, ruck premium and rookie. You have 7 forwards that are good enough to be on field so that’s why I have suggested a mid for Dusty.

Then in round 17 finish off your team with that last premium mid by going one up, one down and using the rest of your cash. There should be a bit of cash there from that rookie downgrade from round 16.

Hope that all makes sense and that you have the cash to pull it off!
Thanks!! Will give it some thought!
Are you also suggesting to hold off on trading Jelly to see if he plays in round 16? And if not, then make the trade?

Alrightttttt so after *some* thinking I've ended up going around in circles and getting nowhere.

Some possibilities for this round:
Jelly --> JPK (risky considering his injury history but looks good value at that price)
J.Bell --> rookie downgrade (don't know who, will Thompson Dow get picked again?)
B.Close --> rookie downgrade (don't know who! Bailey Williams maybe considering he's been selected again and Allen also back. However JJK still to come back so still might have shaky JS).

Next round (could have about 585k in cash), will have two elimination finals:
Rivers/Bytel --> rookie downgrade
S.Wicks --> Neale back in (hope he drops in price a lot this round)
Schoenberg --> last premo mid upgrade (really want Fyfe or Cripps but probably can't afford them)

Will leave me with 4 trades going into round 17. No idea yet what to do after that or if I can get through the match-ups successfully!

@Ben's Beasts got any suggestions to best utilise my trades? :p:D
I want to stop hassling @Rowsus in his thread for once haha!

If anyone else has any suggestions then it's much appreciated!

Thanks in advance! :)
Can you explain JPK's injury history further ?

Up to this year he had missed 9 games in 10 seasons.

Might be a confusion of JJK v JPK ... just a thought and haven't researched it ...

- I find it hard to bring in a player returning late in season with a Knee injury ... he might be the only one I'd consider this year though ..

If he's playing tomorrow, he won't be playing next round. I'm surprised he's playing tomorrow actually.
I can see the headline tomorrow night, 'should have been rested' 'out for the rest of the season '

Let's hope not, but I am concerned he's had that much time off, Joey's good at a bit of bluffing the medical staff, so hope he does this for the team and his own career.

Same here, and many Essendon supporters. I don't understand why you'd risk him after a short turn around, or why he would take any risks. Whether he stays or goes, he's finally fit. It's been pretty sad to have him on the sidelines for two seasons after he was in AA form.

He's such an imposing figure onfield, he seems to bring that forward line together. Not sure if Hooker forward helped deflect a bit of attention from him, also gave Stewart the 3rd or 4th best defender with Stringer, also allows Langford to roam high Half forward.

Can you do Close - > Dow , Bell - > JPK , then Jelly - > Mundy

you have so many trades , need to be creative when using them to create $$$ if your bench is not providing anything.

Looks like you still need 2-3 upgrades and perhaps have one too many forwards.

As I said elsewhere, it completely opened up the ground for us. Changed the team dynamic massively when Hooker went forward. Stewart is no slouch either, but none of them on their own can work miracles. You need multiple targets. I'm sort of just repeating what you said, but it was good to see. We've had no actual forward line this year at all.

Like the first two options but will likely hold Jelly for this round. Mundy's form over the past month has been really good though

Leave Draper at R2 this week.

Get an M8 in this week, either by sidewaysing a premium or by using a 1 down 1 up on Close and another rookie.

Then reassess next week.

fair enough

Can you get B Smith or Simpkin to Mundy via D Smith

removes your 7th forward , gets you a premium mid for $ 500k and leaves you to work on a M8 to complete your mids.
