So 4 trades left + $81k

Option 1: Close & Serong > Riccardi & McGrath/Gaff ($400 in bank)
Option 2: Close & Serong > $104k donut & McGrath/Gaff ($74k in bank Grundy > Gawn next week?)

Option 3+ aka go Nuts!!!: Close & Serong & B.Smith > Riccardi & McGrath & Walters/Parish/Big O!!! (and give up the Gawn dream)

Option 3 could also involve the $104k donut allowing a Merrett/Crouch type...

NN is playing so NN to Gawn is shelved, one option is I go ballistic and do

Stewart > Laird
Daniel > Dawson
Simpkin > Jack Martin

I'd have 20 playing premiums this week, that's if Dawson and Martin are actually premiums.

Means I have two Martin's in the forward line and unsure how much they'll take points off each other.
On NN, I'm actually still leaning towards trading NN to Gawn. I can just make it work this week (with 10k to spare). NN has a BE of 130 and Gawn has a BE of 166. Might not be able to make it work in a future round if NN can’t hit 130+

On your sideswaps, I think the Daniel to Dawson one looks like it might lose you points in the long run. I’d back Daniel to outscore Dawson by the 20-30 pts you might get over from Dawson over say a 70 type score. Dawson himself might be that 70 type score though haha. I’d hold that trade.

The other two look like OK sideswaps.

5 trades left. 10,900 in the Bank

Option 1: Melbourne Brayshaw-> JPK

Option 2: Melbourne Brayshaw -> Cogs (or any mid around that price)
Close -> 103k Rookie (O'Connor)

Option 3: Nothing.

I still need to upgrade Draper to Gawn as a last upgrade and have Wicks, Rivers, Bytel, Close and ofc Draper as my last remaining valuable rookies.

Assuming they get to 227k for Wicks and Rivers and Draper to 310k ot will leave me with 735k or 685k for Gawn in option 1 (basement rookies vs maybe playing ones ). 654k for option 2 (all basement). 700 or 635k for option 3 (dependong on the rookies)

I could also not get Gawn and go for Goldy who would be below 500k by the time I grabbed him. This would let me get any mid under 593k this week.

Any and all thoughts are appreciated because i have no idea what the play is this week :)

I probably shouldn't have posted that, was just going through some fast alternative options after I was fairly surprised to see that NN is named and meant them half jokingly. I wrote soon after I won't do those ones and I'll probably just do Stewart to Haynes, and then after that I'll still actually do NN to Gawn.

I've come full circle and will be doing NN to Gawn, regardless. NN has really been in stellar form and it's hard to expect that to continue based on his history and tomorrow he's got Oscar Allen and Bailey Williams playing with him, telling me they're really gonna manage his load during the game. The number of ruck contests he attended in those 4 games where he went 125+ was up by about 10 on what he's got for the rest of the year and his time on ground was also as high as I've seen it recent memory. His last two games for SC finals are less favourable match ups than Gawn's. Also he might still be rested in a game between now and round 18 and like you I'm guaranteed to be able to do the trade this week, but not next. He's also only in 4% of teams ranked above me, so a lot of reasons to do this trade :ROFLMAO:

Since both are featuring quite prominently in our trades discussion and to save having to ask which Shaw...:D

Angus Brayshaw will now be referred to as DeeShaw

Andrew Brayshaw will now be referred to as FreoShaw
When is Hamish going to debut ? 😀

Yeah, I have a feeling his loads will get managed too tomorrow. Also, I don't have much faith in Essendon and reckon it'll be a return to the usual Essendon performance where the game is probably over by half time or 3QT. NN could easily be rested for the last qtr with Allen and BWilliams taking over the ruck duties.

Gawn also provides a pretty good VC option this round. After the failure that was NN into Cripps last round for me, I'm keen to my more usual combo of Gawn into Neale!

I agree, he might only play 55-60% of the game.

I'm really confused with captaincy options this week. I like Gawn and Neale as VC but scared of both of them as C, Gawn still because of the return from injury and how much he is managed if they have a big win, Neale because Pendles just did a lot of defensive work on Cripps and last year they put a lot of work at stoppages into Neale, holding him to a 91. Titch sort of looks like a great VC on the surface but with Brouch back and Sloane getting back to form they suddenly have a complete midfield. The Brouch boys can't defend though and Sloane might still not be 100%. I'm still thinking I go Titch into Oliver.

Ok community.

Is this to out there.

4 trades and 236k left.

Out draper dusty macrae
In gawn oliver jezza cameron... leaves 1 trade.

Or can do same without the macrae/oliver part and keep 2 trades left... if jezzas a bust I don't think it really hurts in the bye rounds can uograde, or panic.
