Duncan and Sturt to (Insert your chosen name for Andrew Brayshaw) and Riccardi

1 trade left. Surely someone here has 0?
Go on use it 😀

You know you want to start the NTC again

I don't think you can have zero left yet using them all every round so far should leave you with 1 still to go.

Ranked a lower than I had anticipated (10k~) , want to be proactive in round 15.

Trade 1:
Viney (95~) -> M.Crouch (110)
NN (115) -> Gawn (130)
Close -> Rookie

17 playing premiums

Approximately expected 30~ points gained per round hereon. Gawn however is a captain threat.

Approximate gains until end of season 30*4 = 120 + value gained from Gawn as a VC/C option

Trade 2:
Baz (95)-> A.Brayshaw (105)
Viney (95~) -> M.Crouch (110)
Close -> Rookie

Round 15 gains : Brayshaw takes a rookie off field (55) + 15 = 70
Round 16 onwards 25~

Approximate gains until end of season: 70 + 25*3 = 145

Any thoughts (my approximations could be wrong)?
Just remember Crouch will likely have De Boer for company next round. That was one thing that put me off him.

Don’t have Oliver - he has DeBoer in Rd 18 - is he still worth getting?
Round 17 is GWS v Melb.

Does De Boer actually go to Trac anyway?

Trac the more damaging and influential player so I reckon DB goes to him.

Either way, the many Trac and Oliver owners like myself have cause for concern.

I hope so! His cash gen is how I get to Gawn next week (assuming he doesn't go bananas)
He is my R3 , think I will trade him down to Strachan and reopen my link with Big O.

oh wow another ruck trade 😀

Will keep the faith in Grundy & Witts at R1 & R2.

Another Gawnless season by the looks of things.

Stuff it. I'm trading in Bailey Williams. Frees some cash, and brings a (barely) warm body on field. Will also allow Draper to be turned into something good with 1 trade after Grundy's bye by utilising the DP status.

Leaves 4 trades now, or 3 if I'm factoring in the Draper one.

Will wait on all other teams now. And might just eat any carnage that comes at me.

Playing for overall and currently ranked 7.8k. It's been a frustrating season as I'm sure a lot of you feel. I have a few bold moves planned but it will involve 3 sideways trades and joining the No Trades Left Club next week.

There are more tempered approaches that would see me with a completed team with a trade in hand. I just feel like for those focusing on overall, this is the week to make an impact, as a lot of teams will be struggling with the bye.

My plans:

Duncan > JPK
Bailey Smith > Jez Cameron
Grundy > Gawn

Draper > Stanley

This is the only scenario in which I can obtain Gawn. I traded Neale out for Merrett last week so I am lacking strong captain choices, and Gawn's upcoming ruck draw is friendly - Sinclair/Darcy/Mumford/Draper. Stanley is a POD who can go big and finishes the season against Draper/Nankervis/Sinclair.

JPK/Parker M7/M8 and Simpkin/JMartin/Jez at F4-6 looks very dirty, but I feel this is the sort of bold play I need to make to push for the top 5k and beyond.

What would you do in this situation?

hahaha

don't rule that out either

3 trades to go , plenty of cash and actually might have a reasonable bench so not really sure which way to go

Just putting it out there:

5 trades left and only $17,800 ITB

Lloyd, Ridley, Z Williams, J Dawson, Docherty, Stewart (B McKay, B Williams)
Neale, Oliver, Titch, Merrett, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Parker (Mahony, Bytel, Foot)
Grundy, Draper (Comben)
Petracca, Whitfield, D Martin, J Martin, B Smith, Simpkin (O McInerney, D Cameron)

So if Williams (tick), Draper (tick) and D Cameron (unlikely) are selected and no other supprises at selection that gives me 22 (or 21 without Cameron).

Just say I wanted to get Gawn in in the next 2 rounds what would be the best way forward?

Idealy I would love to get a look at Draper tonight, but the problem is that if he spuds it up, the only 'cheaper' rucks I would be interested in in would be Goldstein (bye), O'Brien (plays tonight) and McEvoy (plays tonight).

I'm open to Grundy to Gawn, but would still need a downgrade first to even do that.

Gawn would be ideal in R2, but without trading valuable payers away and valuable trades, maybe he is just not viable?

Thoughts?
Your team is in great shape. You even have O Mac as F7 and cover for your rucks!

I would trade Cameron for Dow this round via Mahony.

Then next round trade McKay and Draper for rookie and Gawn.

Team complete with 2 trades in hand for the last 2 rounds.
Bailey Smith - > Barry O'Connor (opens up the link with Dawson) gives you how much ?

Big O at F6 still gives you ruck coverage in case.

Even go D Cameron to Riccardi as well.

Keeps McKay at D7

Draper - > Gawn in Round 16
Wow, very tight indeed. Yeah I was thinking you would just trade in $102,400 joe blow.

If going ahead with it just barrack hard for McKay and Draper and cheer on the Dees but also hope that Gawn can score below projected.

OR another thought is to bring in Riccardi this week for Cameron who should provide good fwd coverage then go for McInerney and Draper to Gawn and rookie next week. Can then keep McKay as Def cover too.
I guess an alternate plan could be:

Cameron to O'Connor (this week)
Simpkin to Ricardi (this week)

Leaves 436k to do Draper to Gawn next and hopefully have around 100k for last 2 trades.

Pretty sure I wont be able to keep all of McInerney and Simpkin and still get Gawn some thing will have to give:

Would leave:

Lloyd, Ridley, Z Williams, J Dawson, Docherty, Stewart (B McKay, B Williams)
Neale, Oliver, Titch, Merrett, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio, Parker (Mahony, Bytel, Foot)
Grundy, Gawn (Comben)
Petracca, Whitfield, D Martin, J Martin, B Smith, McInerney (Ricardi, O'Connor)

2 trades and around 100k

At least that way I have some DEF cover and FWD cover although MID cover is poor :confused:

Smith - > O'Connor
Cameron - > Riccardi (or Dow)
Mahony - > JPK (or F/M equivalent) , maybe too much of a "luxury" this stage

Draper - > Gawn

give the calculator a work out

not sure you want to get rid of Big O when you have the link with Comben , if Gawn/Grundy miss Round 17 or 18 be left with no cover

B Smith/Simpkin probably score similar for the rest of the season , more $$$ out of Smith to use

just my thoughts

8 trades left, gotta spend that cash:

OUT: Kelly ($587,400), Schoenberg ($190,400)
IN: Oliver ($668,900), Daniher ($270,400)

And make some more...however pitiful...probably should just get a doughie
OUT: Xerri ($188,300)
IN: Williams ($123,900)

18 Premos, 4 rookies this round

Next round, bye, bye, bye, Wicks/Rivers/Draper and welcome Dunkley for 19 premos and 3 rookies and finally full premo... because I will have shifted TJL to F7 and D.Smith from M8 and to F6...because no team can really be full premo with him a M8 like I am this round (if it was not best 18). Anyways, completed team post coming in next round with 2 trades left for 2 rounds :)

Jelly's KO really threw a spanner in the works there

Thanks Herbie, aside from coverage, why do I need JPK?

you mentioned mid coverage

after I posted I realised it was probably a waste of a trade , who knows what will happen in Round 17 & 18 even with the Bye week before finals.

Cameron - > rookie
Smith/Simpkin - > O'Connor

should allow Draper - > Gawn

then deal with whatever presents as it occurs

Is Riccardi worth getting in at his price, or should I bank some extra cash for Gawn, injury or other trades?

Close/Serong > McGrath/Ricarrdi
v
Close/Serong> McGrath/Rookie Donut (leaving 80k or so & 2 trades)
