Just wondering if it is worthwhile keeping my one remaining sprinter in Bennett. He will pick up regular points for green jersey standings at the end of each stage, but from what I can see only one real chance for a stage win left on the final day. Maybe the coin is better spent on a climber or all rounder that place highly in a stage. Anyone think Hirshi can get another stage win over the next week?
Don’t we have to have at least one rider from each position?

You would want someone that is a chance at high stage finishes regularly or you won’t make up the points that you lose by trading out the Green Jersey and that final stage. I doubt Hirshi gets another stage win but even if he does once it is probably not enough.

Urrp meant to make Roglic captain tonight but got on too late. Have to hope Pogacar has another super turn in him!

I've been thinking this as well.
I could burn two trades to go Bennet out and then back in but that feels too tight. If you were trading him (and assuming you have 3 leaders already) it really has to be to a climber who is a KOM challenger/possible stage winner. They will pick up jersey points along the way and on the last day and maybe some road points too.

Rolland or Barguil maybe? Trick is you have one shot to get it right or you end up with a rider not chasing anything and scoring single digits. I'm holding for now hoping maybe someone makes a move.

After todays gut buster up the mountains tomorrow is perfect for a breakaway win.
I agree. Unfortunately I don't have many riders left who will get into a breakaway, they are too close on GC. Rolland maybe, but he has been in the break the last two days. I'm resigned to a mid-low pack finish on this stage.

Should I have captained a sprinter tonight???
At the base of the Cat. 2 no one seems to want to put the big guys into trouble yet - surely someone will bust up the peleton soon to setup a win?

I expect there will be attacks on this climb. It's a long one, plenty of time.

Liked the Troll DJ earlier showing dams with the song "Damn, wish I was your lover".

Here we go everyone, business end of the tour with 4 brutal stages to separate the best from the rest and then a rare mountain climb TT just to rub it in.

Pumped to see if Pogacar can take it to Roglic: the rest look like they are racing for 3rd (Porte starting to show some form maybe could have a shot??).

I almost think this set of stages is too hard - the riders can be too hesitant to make a move and expend knowing what is still to come. That said, Pogacar has shown no fear and attacked on almost every mountain stage so far so raise a glass to him for the entertainment at least! :D(y)

My punt with Cosnefroy to get into a break last night sure didn't work. He almost surely won't keep the climbers jersey after tonight, figured he knew that which is why he didn't go for it. I'm so far behind, I figured I had to try something to get some extra points.
