Rowan Marshall out for the start of the season big blow since nearly everybody has him
I actually like it, one of those picks I didn't want to make and I think it will add some more randomness to the position. Suck's he's injured obviously as never like that, but purely from the fantasy aspect it makes it more interesting.

Preuss kind of the opposite impact. Genuinely was looking to go him as my r3 while many would have started him and it would have been a really interesting one to watch play out.

How many 400k players can you pick? I would love to pick about 10 of them 😀
If you pick Gawn & Grundy + 8 x $ 123,900.00 bench players you essentially have $ 380k per player.

Pick 20 players on each line just by price.

It's what I did today then replaced :-

D4-6
M5-8
F4-6

all with $ 200k players

Saved $ 180k per player

so now $ 380 + $ 180 k =

D1-3
F1-4
F1-3

are now all $ 560k players approximately.

do some adjustments and you come up with 13-breakout D4- Z/D/I and 5 rookies onfield

Bingo

Might need to be more specific , a $ 400k player probably works better in the forward line this season other than the defender line.

eg Heeney probably has more chance of being a Top 10 season player than what a Williams/Duggan for example does in defence (as their are seemingly more premium options in defence this season)

A $ 400k mid such as Taranto , Cunnington , LDU etc etc seem to be frowned upon as they are unlikely to hit minimum M8 levels or make necessary $$$ to be worth a starting "stepping stone"

Could well all be the same price but achieve a different result depending on what line they are actually chosen on.

Thought it time to revisit a zero rookie on field team until we get some certainty there. With this team I tried to pick players I thought would pretty much hold price at a minimum, and hopefully increase in value in most cases.

I still think we will get enough rookies playing to not have to worry, but with teams named the day before the match again this season, who knows for sure.

You have been looking to long at all those MPM teams in the MPM Comp haven't you :sneaky:

Tom Hickey. Fits the MPM bill perfectly.
Not that simple, still need to ensure I have a max of two players per club etc...

He might be an option though, yeah. I honestly can't remember a few of my selections, I haven't looked at my own MPM team since I started the comp. Might require multiple changes to get any option in.

With the news of preuss and everyone going gawndy now I’m trying this

Docherty laird Stewart McDonald Gould highmore
Bench
Chugg wehr

Macrae petracca jelly dusty Cripps Heppell Macrae e smith
Rcd valente downie

Gawn rob Flynn

Dunkley Heeney ziebell Daniher impey cockatoo
Rowe Laurie

7.3k in the bank
13 premos 4 mid pricers

Banking on rob going within 10-15 points of Grundy the first 8 weeks before I trade him to him. Robs first 2 months are a breeze and as long as he stays within 50k of Grundy it’s a win Imo. It also upgrades Milera to Heeney who I feel is a keeper rather then a stepping stone!

Besides that most of the premos are top 6-10 in their positions.
Few pods Docherty jelly McDonald all 6.8% rob 5.2% then Flynn who currently at 1.8% will be 20+% by round 1. Trac 11% Stewart 11.8% Macrae 12.8% are relatively under picked too.
Yes no Neale and Lloyd. Have flirted with clarry over trac. But this team looks pretty decent I think.

I've had a (Wife mandated ) week of no basically no supercoach. Logged in and looking again at my side, it has:
- whitfield
- Neale (calf Maybe?)
- Adams
- Pruess
- Marshall
- Stewart (quad tightness)
- Plus still Hickey (what the bloody hell am I thinking???)

New Strategy: Autofill

That is one seriously strong looking team if the rookies appear.

Like the ROB pick.

Pretty happy with the balance of this team. If Danger and Whitfield line up round 1 I'll probably just pick them. Danger has a nice draw and Whitfield has the fitness to jump straight back in. Both hopefully a bit more PODish as well with others turned off. If I need more money for rookies I can just downgrade one of my stepping stones.

Thanks mate
Have been working hard on fitting in 13 premos that I think will be around the mark for top 6-8 in their positions!
Few nice pods
And rob may pop early
Have a very similar structure myself 13-4-5.

4 weeks to go so hopefully the 5 onfield rookies is a viable starting structure.

Think we have 6 premium players different (I have both Williams & Duggan) so you definitely look stronger in comparison.

Certainly using the cheaper rookies allows the 13 premium side.
