Sorry Professor I missed this yesterday.

See you are definitely heading towards a all Carlton team by Round 1.

Haven't considered Saad or McKay myself but everyone else I certainly have.

Only 4 onfield rookies

11 potential keepers

Looks good
Yeah, I'm being Blue positive 😁 looking to see how I can add Jack. In all seriousness there's a lot of injury carnage going through most teams, might have to avoid the old fellas and a couple of the injury prone including concussion protocol candidates.

correct

Or we can have 2 threads , one for the higher ranked coaches to offer advise and the other for the rest 😀

I wonder if clocks are still popular these days or even watches ?

Might have gone the same way as the newspaper.

In all seriousness though I personally would love to see more advice/tips from a lot of the great (consistently highly ranked) coaches on here , when they do post and you see their rankings over a 5-10 year period , they are extraordinary.

They may have a lot of information that could/would help a lot of people.
Thanks @Herbie66 I'll try to respond to a bit more of the questions posted and provide everyone with my game changing strategies. 😁

Carnage galore , I guess it might be better that it's happening now and not during/after Round 1.

Wonder what else is in store for us all before this Community series thing even starts.

Bit hard to lock into any players/structures with much certainty at the moment.

North Melb.
Love the Simpkin pick. I haven’t got the balls to pick him though.o
Showed he can score big last season. Ran out of steam and the ankle injury affected him for a while. Has sad all the right things this pre season and seems set on lifting his game to another level rather than being satisfied with being a good player. Am really expecting a 105 to 110 season from him.

Mitchell not playing Round 1 , maybe Cripps as a replacement.

Hopper & Walters are different to a lot.

No Ziebell , Daniher or Impey at all.

Bench rookies look a little more realistic of being named Round 1 , be surprised if Mead & Rioli play though.

Damn i was really hoping this would be my master stroke move of having Titch in my team early, oh well.

Yeah im hoping that Hopper goes good for a while, if not i might replace him before rd 1, Walters seems to me like a good POD which im hoping will play out.

I dont know that much history behind, Zieball, Daniher and Impey. All i think i know is that Daniher is/was an injury magnet

@BarginHunter

Maybe try one of Martin/Walters in your mids instead of Mitchell.

Aim to get Kelly at F5 , so look at Ziebell , Daniher , Impey.

Flynn at R3 , Treacy looks like playing so can be forward bench.

Do you think Hopper is a Top 10 mid if yes keep if not maybe Heppell as a stepping stone or Campbell (Sydney) as a rookie mid.

Don't think we will get enough rookies for D4-6 so maybe Harmes , Sholl , Ash , Milera , Cummins , H Young works their or even L Young.

Looks like you have 9 onfield rookies while other teams have 4-5.

Go back and read some pages and look at other people's structures and the value players they are picking.

@wogitalia might give you some great advice on your starting team and structures if you ask him

Jake Lloyd and Rory Laird have to be the first two picked in defence.

Sidebottom is the biggest trap of 2021 and I will die on this hill. Take him out, swap Dangerfield forward, and get Laird in.

Disclaimer: I am not a high ranked player.
Mind if I ask why?

I agree and I think he will be the top Defender come finals. Lloyd in a close second.

Went McDonald - 512k - priced at 95. Last 10 games averaged 118.4. Could become an Uber premium. Hard to ignore really. Even if he takes a few less kick outs.

Laird - 103 average over 3 years. Best was 108. Started last season with 88 and 72. I agree you need to end with him. And prob have him before the byes. But every chance Lloyd, McDonald and if fit Whitfield can score more ...

I guess the thing about Laird was whether you think he continues to play midfield or not and his score estimation should be based primarily on that.

Happy with this until the rookies are confirmed

D: DOCHERTY , Williams , Duggan , Harmes , Milera

(Harmes + Milera can become Daniel/Stewart + rookie if viable)

M: MERRETT , J KELLY , FYFE , BOAK , LAIRD * , CRIPPS , Heppell

R: GAWN , GRUNDY

F: HEENEY , Ziebell , Daniher , Impey

10 premiums
5 midpricers (probably too many)
Z/D/I
4 onfield rookies

interesting comment I saw somewhere that we probably change 50% of our starting team during the season

probably too many players who could easily break , so if they do hope they stagger it over a few months
I like the Boak pick. I have been thinking I need a PA MID.?

I may end up starting Lloyd, Laird, McDonald and Williams. Just need to see how the forwards work out. That’s the real challenge this year!
I actually think their is about 20-25 defender options that could work , start the wrong ones and you could have multiple D6's or worse for the entire season.

Forwards seem like 6-8 to me , just a matter of when to bring them in.
