This is my head right nowo_O:unsure: The first sheet is :geek: but then it loses me after that:eek:
Yeah, wouldn’t worry about the others, looks like he was doing some aggregation (think at one stage he was also looking specifically at the question of the increase in 150+ style monster scores in the shortened quarters vs previous years, that sort of gear.
Think the main sheet contains most of what could be applied .

Went in a completely different direction in terms of nor reaching for "value" picks and came up with this:

Probably need another warm body in the back six but the left over 72.7k gives me enough to find what will hopefully be at least one other playing rookie. I could also squeeze Neale down to Steel (or someone else) and shift the extra 70k+ elsewhere as well.

Thoughts?

I like it as it's basically my structure.

Laird * , Stewart , Docherty , Williams , Duggan , Milera / 2 rookies

Merrett , Boak , Dunkley * , D Martin * , Cripps , Heppell + 2 / 3 rookies

Gawn , Grundy / Flynn

Heeney , Ziebell , Daniher , Impey + 2 / 2 rookies

Can make adjustments if we get the rookies
I like it. Actually looks quite similar to my current '4 rookie' version.
Basically your
Duggan, Merrett, Boak, Dunkley
against my
Oliver, J Kelly, FHOF, Taranto
and I have 1 rookie in def, 2 mid, 1 fwd.

I don't even know whether we will get 2 defender rookies for our benches yet , so thought I would prepare myself.

Was looking at Cumming & Young D5-6 then managed to get this.

Onfield Rookie looks viable will lose Milera and try and upgrade my mids.

Would like to start both Fyfe & Jelly but given they are both likely to get injured at some stage thought maybe I just play safe.

Have looked at FHOF , Rowell & Taranto as alternatives to starting Dunkley & Dusty but still not sure.

Oliver would be nice , your side must be strong.

Haven't posted an update for 3 weeks. Very minimal changes in the past week or so. Really really like this sort of structure, and I've narrowed it down to a list of roughly 15 premiums. Basically just waiting for rookies in AAMI series now.

DEF: Laird hasnt moved since SC opened. Astounded by Docherty's ownership, can only see his average improving as his knee gets back to full fitness. Never really liked Z. WIlliams in the first place, talk of him playing mid/fwd rotation with Martin and I can't pick him. Alot of talk on eagles bigfooty about Duggan, if he passes the eye test in the practice games i'm sold. Harmes starting to get alot more traction since I first posted him in here, again just needs to pass the eye test.

MID: Oliver Macrae been locked for a while. I see them as the best blend of safety, value and durability out of all the 600k mids. 2 flawless preseasons for Kelly in a row, and only 1 game missed of his own fault last year. 7% ownership and I'm now sold on this being the year he strings it altogether. I've posted my thoughts on Clug in Rowsus's thread. Don't really like picking breakouts in the midfield but he ticks way too many of the boxes to ignore. Talk out of Lions is they're looking to get him more inside. Cripps Taranto quite vanilla. If wasnt for Rowell I feel like Taranto would be in alot more teams, that 22/113DT in 2019 is at the front of my mind.

RUCKS: Gawn very very soft draw early. Easy C. Grundy underpriced. Either of the 2 get injured before the season and I'll get ROB.

FWD: Was flipping between Dunks and Marshall alot, so I'm kinda glad Marshall is injured. Heeney, Ziebell and Impey all with discounts. Really, really like the Impey pick. Think he makes 150-200k.

Considerations: I've flirted with GAFF at M3-4. Looks like he's prepared to play 95% TOG for the team. D. MARTIN not going on an overseas post season bender also interests me. T. KELLY is underpriced at a 96 average, but what's his ceiling? ROB soft early draw and got stiffed by CD last year. Gawndy injury and I'll grab for sure. MILLS is a very very big practice game watch.

11 players from last years Top 100 averages including 7 from top 50, aswell as Duggan & Taranto from 100-160 range. Tried to keep this in line with some past winners teams that have been analysed in threads on here (cheers Rowsus).

Docherty's good years are looking like outliers. He couldn't get on the park at Brisbane and he now appears to be an injury risk again. 2 full seasons in 8 years and more time off this preseason. 🤔

Where can I find the thread on past winners?

Hi it's me again, this is my latest version of my team. No rookies in defence, all these blokes will have run and carry and suited with the new rule changes. Dow is a placeholder if not picked.

no Flynn at R3 🤔

Maybe swap Saunders with Durdin and move Treacy to forward bench and Flynn @ R3.

Will 8 Carlton players be enough ? 😀

Looks good

thanks Herbie, will wait to see how Flynn goes, as mummy could take over, Saunders my only donut. 😜

Dow could become Bailey Williams again.
